Title: Owner
Company: Premier Mechanical LLC
Location: Conroe, Texas, United States
James Baldridge Jr., Owner at Premier Mechanical LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Professional for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Entrepreneurship.
Mr. Baldridge is the owner and chief executive officer of Premier Mechanical LLC, a licensed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) contracting company founded in 2006 in Houston. Taking over the business in 2020, he has strived to maintain the values and work ethic the organization has become known for.
Working alongside a talented team of over 55 individuals, including his father and children, Mr. Baldridge’s company offers a range of services for the residential and commercial sectors, including commercial and interior projects that range from single-story buildings to high rises, as well as industrial projects, including plant shutdowns, maintenance and expansions. Moreover, service and maintenance are a significant portion of what the team focuses on, offering a myriad of HVAC on-demand and emergency services 24 hours per day, seven days per week. These include inspections and general maintenance, as well as the installation of exhaust fans, boilers, chillers, computer room units, and more.
Lauded for over 40 years of expertise in the industry, Mr. Baldridge formerly served as the vice president of Kilgore Industries LP from 2007 to 2020. The company is also based in Houston and specializes in mechanical, electrical and plumbing services locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Having gained tremendous experience during his tenure at Kilgore Industries LP, Mr. Baldridge was faced with uncertainty when the COVID-19 pandemic occurred in early 2020. Choosing to pivot when the organization began to downsize, and his department was undergoing significant cuts, he ultimately succeeded with Premier Mechanical LLC. During his tenure at Kilgore, Mr. Baldridge was very much invested in the success of his division, setting him apart from his colleagues and growing the department. But because he did not have ownership, he had no choice but to seek work elsewhere.
Mr. Baldridge garnered earlier success as an estimator and project manager at Graves Mechanical in Houston between 1993 and 2006. Graves Mechanical is an HVAC contractor offering services such as water heater and ductwork installation, air duct cleaning and air conditioning installation. Besides his father, one of Mr. Baldridge’s most respected mentors was Johnny Graves, owner of Graves Mechanical, where he worked for 15 years and garnered tremendous mentorship.
Mr. Baldridge graduated from Willowridge High School in 1983. His expertise stems from his subsequent formal training at Universal Technical Institute Inc. and Houston Community College. He credits his father’s guidance and expertise with providing him with the fundamentals and work ethic necessary to excel. Additionally, Mr. Baldridge’s tenacity and perseverance have been instrumental in his ability to expand his knowledge base and become a strong, confident leader.
Eager for the future of his career in entrepreneurship, Mr. Baldridge aims to continue growing the business into a well-established and trusted HVAC company that prides itself on providing excellent services and positive work culture for its employees. Initially motivated to generate $10 million annually, Mr. Baldridge has achieved this goal. He now has his sights on preparing it for his children to eventually take over when he retires and continue its legacy. The company is expected to secure over $20 in revenue for 2024.
