Todd Michael Mosser, owner at Mosser Legal PLLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in legal services.
With over a decade of experience to his credit, Mr. Mosser has established a successful career in legal services, specializing in appellate and post-conviction matters in homicide cases, complex commercial litigation involving claims of fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. Since 2013, he has excelled as the owner of Mosser Legal PLLC. His background also includes roles as an attorney with McEldrew Law in Philadelphia from 2012 to 2013, assistant district attorney at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office from 2001 to 2012, plaintiff’s litigation associate with Golomb & Honik P.C. from 2006 to 2008, and class action litigator at Schiffrin & Barroway in Radnor from 2005 to 2006. Additionally, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a captain in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps from 2003 to 2013.
Laying a solid educational foundation, Mr. Mosser earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 1998, a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2001, and is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. Initially, his plan was to become a police officer, but after completing his criminal justice degree, he learned he would need to wait at least a year before entering the police academy, so he decided to enroll in law school instead. On his second day, he took the Pittsburgh Police Academy exam, and following his first year, he received an offer from the police department. However, he decided to continue with his legal education. Additionally, during law school, he experienced the movie “A Few Good Men,” which served as an inspiration, fueling his passion for the legal field.
Mr. Mosser’s most significant accomplishment came with his victory in a case for one of his clients, which exposed the troubling conduct of a homicide detective accused of abusive tactics to extract confessions. His investigation included interviewing people on the streets and reviewing internal affairs files, ultimately building a robust case. Twelve witnesses testified about the detective’s misconduct, leading the judge to convict him, and the district attorney’s office subsequently decided not to re-prosecute his client. In 2024, further investigations revealed the detective’s conviction for perjury and obstruction of justice, originating from the scrutiny Mr. Mosser’s case initiated. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was a finalist in the Sutherland Cup National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition and named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer from 2020 to 2024. His accolades also include Top 10% by Lawyers of Distinction from 2017 to 2019 and recognition as a Rising Star by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers in 2015 and 2016.
Mr. Mosser attributes his success to the invaluable mentors he encountered at the District Attorney’s office, whose guidance refined his legal skills and approach. He is also known for his relentless work ethic, a trait which he credits to his parents, as he begins his day at 3:30 AM to get ahead. Additionally, he takes great pride in his ability to quickly distill complex information and pinpoint winning arguments, which he notes was honed through his training as an appeals lawyer. In coming years, he envisions expanding his practice with a focus on plaintiff-side commercial litigation, particularly cases against banks and broker-dealers for elder abuse. As his practice grows, he hopes to be increasingly selective, focusing on cases he believes have a clear path to victory.
