He notably co-founded Creatum Energy in 2024, at which point he simultaneously assumed the role of vice president. Prior to his current posts, Mr. Illarramendi was active as the president of Linestar E&I from 2022 to 2024, where he honed his skills in electrification and fabrication. His tenure at ABB from 2012 to 2022 showcased his talents in multiple capacities, including as a senior electrical solutions consultant, a sales and operations interface manager, an electrical engineering manager, and a project manager. During this period, Mr. Illarramendi became renowned for his ability to provide effective solutions and was often appointed as the first point of contact for project-related challenges.
Mr. Illarramendi has previously found success as the co-founder and operations manager at 4k-drones.com from 2017 to 2022. In the years prior, he served as a project manager at Lectrus Corporation from 2011 to 2012 and as an engineering and project consultant at Electbus Corporation from 2014 to 2019. Earlier in his career, he utilized his wealth of expertise as an engineering project manager at Nextec Energy from 2006 to 2010 and Hewlett Packard Enterprise from 2010 to 2011. Mr. Illarramendi began his career as the lead project manager at Digitel Corporation from 1999 to 2003, setting the foundation for his future endeavors.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Illarramendi pursued a formal education at DeVry University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. His academic efforts have been instrumental in shaping his career, providing him with the technical knowledge necessary to thrive in his many roles. He is also certified as a project management professional by ABB, further solidifying his credentials in project management. Mr. Illarramendi attributes his success to his stellar work ethic and a strong sense of ownership over his projects.
In addition to his primary responsibilities, Mr. Illarramendi remains involved in several civic-minded organizations. Acknowledged as a past curriculum advisor at DeVry University since 2015, he has proudly provided his time and attention as part of the packaging group at the Houston Food Bank since 2014. Mr. Illarramendi advisory role for the Iraq-Afghanistan Electrical Infrastructure Reconstruction with the Department of Defense and volunteer work with The Greenland Project under the U.S. Department of Energy further highlight his commitment to community service.
In his spare time, Mr. Illarramendi enjoys traveling with his family and building things around the house. He is a devoted father to his three wonderful children: Andres Eduardo, Isabel, and Santiago.
