Additionally, she is responsible for developing sales strategies for distributors, branding, and marketing. The company’s products are designed for various flooding situations, such as water-activated solutions for cleaning small leaks and drips from air conditioning condensate lines, managing overflowing toilets, and controlling water away from walls or doorways. Additionally, the company offers Quick Dam, which provides innovative flood control solutions, specializing in water-activated barriers, flood bags, and perimeter protection systems. These products are designed to help homes and businesses protect against water damage, providing an efficient and eco-friendly way to manage floods and water-related emergencies.
Ms. Dancer laid a solid educational foundation, earning an associate degree in business administration and management from Mount Ida College in 1991, followed by a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1993. She is also affiliated with the Building Operations Management Association, an international trade association that represents commercial real estate professionals, and the International Sanitary Supply Association, the world’s leading trade association for the cleaning, hygiene, and facility management industry. She takes great pride in obtaining a patent for her innovative flood barriers.
Ms. Dancer’s patented design includes a flood bag and flood barrier that automatically activates upon contact with water, making it exceptionally practical for flood-prone regions. Not only did she conceptualize the product, but she also designed the manufacturing line for it, ensuring streamlined production. Expanding on her original concept, she developed and introduced an additional version of the flood barriers tailored for construction applications. Additionally, her company has received numerous awards, including the SBA Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year in 2018 and a 2019 Best in Class award at the National Hardware Show
Ms. Dancer attributes her success to the influence of her parents, both successful entrepreneurs. Growing up, she was fortunate to learn firsthand from them about the intricacies of starting and running a business, which played a pivotal role in shaping her own business acumen. Additionally, she acknowledges the unwavering support from her family, recognizing their crucial role in her entrepreneurial journey. In the coming years, she is looking to expand her product line by launching several new products, with the goal of growing her team and enhancing their market presence. For the business’s 20th anniversary, she set a goal to reach $20 million in revenue, a milestone they have now surpassed, as well as surpassing the target of $24 million in revenue for 2024. Looking to the future, her ultimate goal is to sustain the business while continuing to innovate. In addition to new product launches, they are focused on educating sales teams and distributors about these solutions. She is also expanding the company’s social media presence, aiming to create engaging and informative videos for clients and their wider audience.
