Headquartered in southwest Wyoming in Rock Spring, Barch Industries focuses on protecting its clients’ industrial assets from corrosion, which can be caused by various factors, including temperature, chemical exposure, and other corrosive elements in the environment. Servicing chemical plants, oil and gas facilities, and power generation plants, among other similar industries, the company prides itself on long-lasting, safe and efficient results.
In his leading role, Mr. Barnum manages all aspects of Barch Industries, from finances and business development to providing estimates for potential customers. He also handles all scheduling and project preparation.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Mr. Barnum made significant gains as an electrical maintenance planner at PacificCorp. He also excelled as a maintenance project engineer at William H. Smith and Associates Inc. These foundational roles were pivotal in Mr. Barnum’s decision to pursue his dream of business ownership.
A graduate of Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Mr. Barnum received a Bachelor of Science in construction management in 2015 while working full-time. This achievement is a testament to his hard work, dedication and desire to continue excelling in his field.
Mr. Barnum’s organization is active in the Association for Materials, Protection and Performance. This affiliation serves as a testament to the company’s dedication to the field and serving as a superior industry leader.
In addition to his primary endeavors, Mr. Barnum has enjoyed the opportunity to serve his community. Most notably, he has been affiliated with the United Way of South Wyoming as a board member since 2024, where he has been instrumental in the success of the nonprofit’s local chapter. Previously, he was active with the organization’s Community Solutions Team, interviewing agencies seeking funding from United Way, auditing their financials, and recommending funding allocations. After completing his term on the Community Solutions Team, Mr. Barnum was invited to join the board of directors.
Mr. Barnum’s company, Barch Industries, has also been involved in community service initiatives, volunteering for various local causes and events, like local food banks that are short of volunteers. The year 2024 marks also the first year the company will host a “Helping Hands Day,” where Mr. Barnum and his employees will support senior citizens in the community.
Reflecting on his success in business, Mr. Barnum credits the solid business foundation he acquired while coming of age, noting his father, a prominent attorney, for his constant support, encouragement and advice. For this reason, Mr. Barnum strives to provide his team with opportunities for success by fostering an environment where they can thrive.
