Mr. Blanc, managing partner at TMP Architecture, has been at the helm of the prominent architecture and design firm since 2018. With locations in Bloomfield Hills and Kalamazoo, Michigan, he has been instrumental in the firm’s success, primarily focusing on designing spaces for learning environments for the arts, sciences, sports and recreation, health and wellness, and media sectors. Before becoming a managing partner, Mr. Blanc was the vice president from 2014 to 2017 and principal between 2013 and 2014. He began his career at TMP in 1995, progressing throughout various other roles, including senior associate.
As an expert in K-12 building design, Mr. Blanc has also succeeded in the classroom. He began his tenure in 1985 as a teaching assistant at the Universidad de Buenos Aires until 1988. He also served as an adjunct faculty instructor at Washington University in Saint Louis from 2000 to 2001 and at the College for Creative Studies between 2009 and 2011. Besides his work-related endeavors, Mr. Blanc has been active as the Michigan chapter president of the Association for Learned Environments since 2013 and on the board of the Association for Learning Environments since 2016. Civically, he has been committed to various community-related initiatives, including Rotary International.
Mr. Blanc graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1985 with a degree in architecture. He also holds certification in French through Alliance Francaise, in IMAGINiT Technologies through Revit and accreditation through the U.S. Green Building Council. Mr. Blanc has contributed numerous articles to professional journals in his area of expertise. Grateful for his professional accomplishments, including his nearly 30-year tenure at TMP Architecture, he attributes much of his success to his perseverance and dedication as a lifelong learner.
