In preparation for her career in this sector, Ms. Held graduated from the Interlochen Center for the Arts, a renowned private boarding school for creative students, where she received a high school diploma in visual and performing arts in 1977. Subsequently, she completed coursework in industrial and product design from the Cleveland Institute of Art, coursework from the University of the Arts and coursework in textile design from the Parsons School of Design.

She also contributed to numerous professional publications, such as Affluent Magazine, served as the author and illustrator of “My Sleepover Bag” and as the creator and illustrator of “My Ballet Bag” via Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, and was a fashion designer and merchandiser for Isabella Dresses for over a decade.
