Jon Neal, CPA, MST, CPFP, chief executive officer and founder of Right Choice Tax Resolution LLC and owner of The Neal Group LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance.
With nearly five decades of experience, Mr. Neal has built a distinguished career in finance, specializing in tax resolution and accounting. He currently excels as owner of Right Choice Tax Resolution LLC, a position he has held since 2019, owner of Neal Group LLC since 1984, chief executive officer and founder at Right Choice Tax Resolution LLC since 2018, and adviser at AdvisoryCloud since 2019. His experience also includes partner at Mueller & Sebena SC, from 1983 to 1984, partner in 1981 and staff accountant in 1977. He has also served as a committee member for Milwaukee Area Technical College since 2005, a board member for Clare Oasis Inc. from 2011 to 2016, and a board member for Southeast Asian Educational Development of Wisconsin from 2008 to 2016.
Mr. Neal laid a strong educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and management information systems from the Lubar College of Business, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, in 1977. He went on to earn a Master of Science in taxation from the same institution in 1987. Additionally, he obtained various certifications, including certified public accountant from the Department of Safety and Professional Services, State of Wisconsin, certified tax professional from the National Society of Tax Professionals, and a certified profit first professional through Profit First Professionals LLC in 2014. He has been actively involved as a member of the National Association of Tax Practitioners since 2021 and a member of Profit First Professionals since 2014. Additionally, he served as treasurer and board member for the Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce from 2008 to 2016, supports causes such as the Wisconsin Humane Society, and contributes his time to his local church.
Throughout his career, Mr. Neal has developed expertise in identifying effective solutions for tax-related challenges and has supported businesses in optimizing their systems and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and overall success. His contributions to the field include authoring several impactful works, such as “Making The Right Choice” in 2022, “Keep It!” in 2019, and “Obamacare and the IRS Uncovered: What You Must Know About the Affordable Care Act Before Filing Your Tax Return” in 2011. His earlier publications include “57 Ways To Increase Your Revenue” and “Breaking the Tax Code” in 2010, as well as “The Best Doggone Tax and Financial Advice” in 2008.
Mr. Neal takes great pride in assisting startup businesses in getting off the ground. For instance, he played a key role in helping a local brewery establish itself, and it has now expanded its operations nationwide. Throughout his career, he has learned that circumstances are often not as favorable or unfavorable as they initially appear. He emphasizes that while financial success is important, it is not the sole measure of achievement or fulfillment in life. He attributes his success to providing honest solutions to people’s problems without cutting corners, as well as his successful client relationships to his genuine care for their well-being and success.
