Mr. Mourad is a licensed pharmacist and a leading expert in pharmaceutical sciences, having over 45 years of success in his industry. Since 2008, he has been the founding president of NOAHsPHARM Ltd., a Philadelphia-based company providing scientific intelligence-guided advice for pharmaceutical business strategy development and execution. As such, Mr. Mourad’s company assists clients in preparing for future market challenges via competitive intelligence, equipping them with the necessary tools to gain success and maintain a competitive edge long term. Additionally, Mr. Mourad is a faculty member at Saint Joseph’s University, teaching pharmaceutical and health care business as an adjunct professor at the Philadelphia college of pharmacy since 2012, and at The Wharton School, lecturing on persuasive communication strategies since 2012.
Drawing on his former success, Mr. Mourad has worked for several leading pharmaceutical organizations throughout his career. Before establishing NOAHsPHARM Ltd., he was a clinical pharmacist for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2002 to 2023. His tenure there was marked by over 20 years of success in clinical pharmacy practice within a teaching hospital setting. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mourad garnered success at AstraZeneca from 1994 to 2008, beginning as a clinical program scientist and progressing to director and head of strategy assessment and intelligence. Among other positions, he started his career with Eli Lilly (now Lilly) as a production coordinator of quality assurance in 1984.
Mr. Mourad received a Bachelor of Science in pharmaceutical sciences from Mansoura University in 19982, a Master of Business Administration in pharmaceutical marketing from Saint Joseph’s University in 1997, and a Master of Science in health policy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2016. He is also a licensed pharmacist in New York. Mr. Mourad maintains professional memberships with the Strategy Intelligence Group and the American Heart Association Inc. He has also served as a member and on the board of directors for Harmony For Peace Foundation, reflecting his devotion to charitable contributions.
