In addition to her leading role at Lawn & Garden LLC, Ms. Cook established Vivaria Budget LLC as the company’s founder and owner. The company launched an application on the Apple Store and Google Play Store designed to help users manage their finances, regardless of their income level. The application enables users to create customizable “honeypots” for various expenses, providing unlimited categories for budgeting and offering such features as debt payoff planning, bill management, and seamless bank integration for real-time transaction tracking.
Before her role at Lawn & Garden LLC, Ms. Cook was employed by MISA Imports Inc., beginning as a senior accountant from 2020 to 2024 and then as a treasury analyst between 2021 and 2024. Other noteworthy positions included financial controller for Artisan Productions Inc., accountant and bookkeeper for the Southland Independent School District, bookkeeper for the Law Officer of David E. Cook and internal quality control manager for H.O.P.E. Inc. Ms. Cook’s more than 25 years of experience in the field, particularly in accounts payable, have been instrumental in her success.
Ms. Cook studied at the University of North Texas in Dallas, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in music in 2005. She also received a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Accounting from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City in 2019. Additionally, Ms. Cook became highly qualified as a certified treasury professional through the Association for Financial Professionals in Montréal and received qualification as a certified public accountant.
Active in her professional community, Ms. Cook is a member of the Association for Financial Professionals and has been involved in her community through civic organizations. She is also a former member of the Irish-American Society of Dallas and the Suzuki Strings Booster Club, where she was recognized with an Award of Excellence.
Besides these activities, Ms. Cook is lauded for her contributions as the concertmaster of a local orchestra. Performing music and playing the piano since childhood, she later studied voice in college and won several competitions. She also released an album, “Christmas Memories,” on iTunes. This notable achievement became a top-selling album in Germany and a highlight for her. Ms. Cook remains active in the industry, performing covers and original songs for local eateries, coffee houses, and private affairs.
Ms. Cook attributes her professional accomplishments to her first employer, who recognized her tremendous organizational skills in accounting. She also notes her husband’s support, which has allowed her to pursue her career ambitions.
