Charles C. Moka Jr., MBA, Business Consulting Manager at EY, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Finance.
Mr. Moka, a distinguished leader in the financial sector, has been affiliated with EY, a foremost public accounting firm, since 2021. Beginning as a senior business consultant, he pivoted into the role of business consulting manager in 2022. Primarily responsible for helping organizations, mainly in the public sector, improve their business operations and information technology control, he also manages numerous teams that serve existing and potential clients. Besides his work at EY, Mr. Moka launched a podcast, “Principled Minds,” in 2021 as its host.
A graduate of Bowie State University, Mr. Moka holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Subsequently, he received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Mr. Moka also holds VITA standards of conduct certification from the IRS, credentials as a certified fraud examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and risk and information systems control certification from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
Leveraging his former experience, Mr. Moka began as a financial advisory intern at Grant Thornton LLP before becoming an associate in 2017 and senior associate from 2019 to 2021. He also gained valuable expertise as a bookkeeper at EZ Learning Driving School while in school. Besides his work-related commitments, Mr. Moka has enjoyed membership with several industry-related organizations, such as the Association of Government Accountants, the ISACA and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and as a member, former treasurer and president of the Bowie chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants since 2015. His success has been recognized with a Young Professional of the Year award from the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Association of Government Accountants. Mr. Moka’s financial management and operations expertise have been pivotal to his success.
