Robert “Bob” Dudley, broker and owner at Matrix Real Estate Network, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in real estate.
With nearly two and a half decades of experience, Mr. Dudley has established a successful career in real estate, specializing in contract drafting and negotiation, agency representation, financial planning, and architecture and design. He currently excels as the founder of Matrix Real Estate Network, a role he has held since 2000. His experience also includes serving as vice president of mortgage banking at Century Loan Corporation from 1979 to 1986, manager and marketer at Century Lending Company in 1978, treasurer at Cermetek Microelectronics Inc., vice president of development and finance at Trilex Development Corporation, and president of architectural design and construction at Design Planning, Inc. Earlier in his career, he served as a platoon sergeant in the U.S. Army for three years.
Mr. Dudley also dedicates his time to various organizations. He has served on the board of directors for LAD Development LLC in Florida since 2003 and as vice president of C.U.R.E. since 1996. He has been a board member of the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors and previously held positions on the board of directors for American Timbercraft Homes Inc. in Utah from 1997 to 1998 and BrakeSense Corp in California from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, he has contributed as a teacher of gymnastics and anthropology at Butte College, a volunteer with the grievance committee, a volunteer official field operations liaison at Pebble Beach, and with MetroList. Laying a strong educational foundation, he completed coursework at California State University, Chico, and the University of California, Berkeley, from 1963 to 1974. He earned his broker license from the California Department of Real Estate in 1973 and was licensed as a Class B-1 general building and construction contractor in California from 1976 to 1980. Additionally, he became NASD-registered in securities with Series 22 in 1983 and Series 6 in 1984, further diversifying his professional qualifications.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Dudley credits his time in Africa with uncovering his untapped abilities and instilling in him the belief that focus and determination can make anything achievable. Additionally, during his tenure with Century Loan Corporation, he contributed to several impactful projects, including the construction of a school and a church, as well as obtaining mining permits in Sierra Leone and Liberia. His work in these countries provided him with invaluable practical experience and allowed him to assist in local hospitals. Although civil unrest eventually necessitated his departure, he remains deeply grateful for the opportunities to learn and contribute during this period and pays tribute to the doctor who mentored him. Currently, he is collaborating with a physician in Southern California on a project to acquire mini storage units. The profits from this venture are intended to fund the establishment and management of hospitals in Rwanda and Kenya. This initiative resonates deeply with him, especially after a recent conversation with another individual who shares his commitment to similar efforts. The prospect of returning to Africa for such impactful work excites him, and he is eager to embrace the opportunity.
