John Bao Nguyen, Partner at 5irFund.com, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Entrepreneurship.
Mr. Nguyen is a serial entrepreneur presently involved with several thriving organizations he developed. Since 2023, he has been the co-owner of MaiPhamLe LLC since 2023, a company dedicated to offering consumers an array of hair and skin care products, focusing heavily on promoting healthy, beautiful hair options without the use of harmful chemicals or short-term solutions. MaiPhamLe is a culmination of three names that Mr. Nguyen holds sacred: Mai, his mother; Pham, his mother-in-law; and Le, his brother’s mother-in-law.
Since launching his family-owned business, MaiPhamLe LLC, Mr. Nguyen has expanded his professional prowess to include three additional enterprises. He has served as an investor and partner of Black Box Musician Technologies LLC, based in Texas, since 2024 and as the managing partner at The Culinary Code since 2024. As a partner of his most recent venture, 5irFund.com, an investment company based in Plano, Texas, Mr. Nguyen focuses on providing expert, customized service tailored to clients’ individual investment needs. His expertise in business advisory and investing skills, experience in helping companies grow, and ability to develop strategic partnerships have been instrumental in his success as a leading business professional.
Having garnered remarkable success throughout his diverse career for over two decades, Mr. Nguyen worked for various other organizations, including Gambitplan, as the firm’s principal from 2020 to 2023. He also gained experience in the nonprofit sector with the American Stroke Association as a senior business intelligence professional from 2017 to 2020 and the American Heart Association as a senior business intelligence professional and senior manager of business intelligence during that same time frame. Earlier in his career, Mr. Nguyen held various management positions with Vizient Inc., FracTech Services (now Profrac), Texas Health Resources, Brinks Home and Mosiac Life Care, dating back to 2003.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, Mr. Nguyen received a Bachelor of Science in management information services in 2002. His education has been pivotal to his leadership skills as a foremost business owner.
Besides his work-related commitments, Mr. Nguyen has drawn satisfaction from his volunteer efforts. Most notably, he has been active with the American Heart Association, where he was once an employee. He also frequently lends his time to his children’s school to support various efforts and fundraisers.
Driven by his passion for witnessing more Asian executives, C-suite leaders and founders making their mark in the business world, Mr. Nguyen notes that Asians like himself have historically been seen merely as employees rather than individuals capable of driving change across industries. Advocating on their behalf, he hopes to see real change while instilling confidence in Asian children and children of all other backgrounds who have come to America for a better life.
Mr. Nguyen attributes much of his professional achievements to his wife, who has been his support system throughout his career. Looking toward the future, he intends to continue making his wife proud while supporting and influencing his children, his primary motivation. Moreover, Mr. Nguyen envisions future success in all his business ventures.
