Doron Zohar, Founder at ADZ K9S, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements and leadership in the Dog Training Industry.

Mr. Zohar has distinguished himself as the founder of ADZ K9S, a company he established in 2017. Since its inception, he has overseen its growth into one of the most extensive dog training and care enterprises in North America. Under his leadership, ADZ K9S is currently constructing a state-of-the-art facility in Jefferson, Georgia, spanning over 30 acres and costing $4.5 million. The facility will feature eight dog parks, 70 automated kennels and a 9,800-square-foot training center. This project stands out as Mr. Zohar’s commitment to independent innovation within the industry.

In his role at ADZ K9S, Mr. Zohar manages a team of four trainers and approximately 20 kennel staff. He has expanded the organization by adding three new team members and personally initiates the training process for both staff and dogs. His responsibilities also include handling client communications, overseeing sales and teaching an annual K9 school. Mr. Zohar’s expertise in positive reinforcement relationship-based training has set a high standard for excellence in the field.

Exceptional customer service is central to Mr. Zohar’s philosophy. He ensures that every client receives equal attention and care regardless of their financial investment. This culture of respect and inclusivity is reflected throughout his organization, where staff are encouraged to treat each customer like family.

Throughout his nearly two-decade-long career in dog training, Mr. Zohar has prioritized the well-being of dogs above all else, ensuring that every decision centers on their needs rather than solely on client preferences. His passion extends to working with protection dogs, which are placed with families seeking security after traumatic events. In addition to serving private clients, Mr. Zohar’s team has deployed law enforcement dogs more than 20 times over the past three years, and one of his dogs was recently recognized as among the best in the southeastern region.

Mr. Zohar’s journey into dog training began after a personal experience during a robbery in Detroit, Michigan, where his own protection dog intervened to safeguard him. At that time, he was working in the music industry and had acquired the dog for personal security without fully understanding the complexities involved. The incident revealed to Mr. Zohar the importance of real-world experience in training protection dogs, a perspective that continues to inform his approach today.

Mr. Zohar attributes his rapid mastery of the field to removing ego from his work and focusing entirely on understanding canine behavior through observation, pattern recognition and consistent practice. With ADZ K9S handling nearly 3,000 dogs annually, this hands-on exposure has reinforced his expertise and contributed to the company’s reputation for excellence. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Zohar is civically engaged by donating trained dogs to law enforcement agencies and supporting the American Humane Society through charitable contributions.

In light of his success, Mr. Zohar has been recognized with several awards, including the Gainesville Times and Best of Georgia awards in 2025. His work has also been featured in various projects, including “$100K dogs, World-Class Training: Inside Oakwood’s Elite K9 facility,” which highlights the advanced capabilities and standards upheld at ADZ K9S.

Looking ahead, Mr. Zohar plans to introduce an innovative daycare model that emphasizes personalized care by limiting group sizes and ensuring attentive supervision by trained staff. He takes pride in fostering both professional and personal growth among his staff members as they contribute to the ongoing success of ADZ K9S and remains committed to offering exclusive services, such as complimentary pickup and drop-off for returning clients, while continuing to advance standards within the canine care industry through thoughtful leadership and dedication to animal welfare.
