Ms. Goodwin has established herself in organizational development, change management and executive coaching, marked by more than a decade of entrepreneurial leadership. Since 2014, she has served as the founder of Goodwin Solutions, LLC, in Danbury, Connecticut, where she is recognized as a transformational/change management consultant and executive, and team coach. Although the company was formally established in 2020, Ms. Goodwin began her independent consulting work in December 2014. Under her direction, Goodwin Solutions, LLC, has focused on two core areas: change management consulting and executive and team coaching. Her strategic vision and commitment to client success have positioned the firm as a trusted partner for organizations navigating complex transformations.
Before launching her own business, Ms. Goodwin held the role of director of organizational development at Boehringer Ingelheim International GmbH in Ridgefield, Connecticut, from 2016 to 2018. In this capacity, she led initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Between 2006 and 2014, Ms. Goodwin excelled at Diageo, a London-based beverage manufacturing company, in Norwalk, Connecticut. Hired as a manager of training and change management, she became the director of change management, training and communications in 2008, maintaining this position for six years. During this time, Ms. Goodwin played a pivotal role in leading large-scale change initiatives and developing comprehensive training programs.
Ms. Goodwin’s career also included significant experience with McKinsey & Company as a manager of training and operations in Stamford, Connecticut, from 1999 to 2005 and lead of training and practice development for Europe from 1997 to 1999. Prior to this, she worked with Aetna Inc. in Middletown, Connecticut, as a learning and development specialist between 1993 and 1996, and Accenture in Hartford, Connecticut, as a senior consultant from 1989 to 1993.
Ms. Goodwin holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial marketing and technical communications from Clarkson University since 1989 and a Master of Science in organizational behavior from the University of Hartford since 2000. She has also pursued extensive professional development through certifications that enhance her leadership and coaching capabilities. More recently, Ms. Goodwin acquired the board member essentials certificate from Boardsi, the change management certification from Prosci Inc., credentials as a certified master neuroplastician from the Institute of Organizational Neuroscience, and, among other credentials, a coaching certification in applied neuroscience from Key Change Institute.
Actively engaged with several industry-related organizations, Ms. Goodwin has been part of the Type Coach partner network since 2020 and has served as a coach with Growthspace Inc. and Career Propulsion since 2022. Her memberships include the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology Inc., the Society for Human Resource Management, the National Association of Professional Women and the Association for Talent Development.
Ms. Goodwin’s civic involvement is equally extensive, reflecting a dedication to education and community service. She has served as a consultant on strategy and organizational effectiveness with Goodwin Solutions, LLC, since 2012. She has also served on the board of advisers for the Barney School Leadership Council at the University of Hartford since 2019, where she also serves as a business board member and co-chair for the board of visitors.
An accomplished author and presenter on topics related to change management and leadership development, Ms. Goodwin’s publications have included “Focus: Define and Achieve What’s Next” and “Leading Through Times of Change” in 2017, “Change Management Recipe: Achieving Success in Today’s Environment” in 2019, and “Leading Change with Courage: Navigating the Layers of Change Management” in 2024. She also co-authored “Leveraging Neuroscience Enables Confidence to Build Capabilities” in 2024. Ms. Goodwin’s presentations have included “Change Management as Never Been Done Before” in 2020. She also participated in panels, such as “Excellence in Curriculum Design and Development” in 2014.
Among her most notable achievements was her leadership of payroll and systems processes at United Technologies Corporation. Over two years, Ms. Goodwin spearheaded this transformative initiative, successfully managing complex organizational changes. Her contributions have been recognized through numerous awards, such as a Business Partnership Award from the Association for Talent Development in 1994, an Excellence in e-Learning Award from CLO in 2009, an Award for Excellent e-Learning from Brandon Hall in 2011, and an Anchor Award for exceptional professional success from the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford in 2023.
Attributing much of her accomplishments to her strengths in strategic thinking, Ms. Goodwin has also drawn inspiration and success from numerous mentors who provided leadership guidance and encouragement at critical moments. Among them, she notes her husband for serving as both a source of motivation and reassurance throughout her career.
