Ms. Faiman has established a distinguished career in social work, marked by more than four decades of dedicated service and innovation. For the past five years, she has facilitated counseling sessions at a nonprofit organization grounded in a wellness model, demonstrating her expertise in trauma-informed therapy and commitment to holistic care. As a licensed clinical social worker with One Life Counseling Services, Ms. Faiman supports individuals and families through evidence-based therapeutic practices.

Beyond her work at One Life Counseling Services, Ms. Faiman founded In Unison Wellness, Education and Coaching in 2009, where she remains actively involved in advancing wellness initiatives and coaching programs. Her leadership at In Unison reflects her ability to develop impactful programs from inception and guide organizations toward meaningful improvements.

A significant milestone in Ms. Faiman’s career was the creation of Escuela del Sol (School of the Sun) from 2004 to 2009. Inspired by her experiences as a parent and by her desire for children worldwide to learn a second language, she designed and authored this Spanish immersion program for children up to age 5. Implemented across community centers and preschools, Escuela del Sol achieved notable success by enabling English-speaking children to learn Spanish during a critical period of brain development. After running the program for 10 years, Ms. Faiman sold the business, marking a significant accomplishment in early childhood education.

Before these entrepreneurial ventures, Ms. Faiman contributed as an intake coordinator at Children’s Health Council from 1999 to 2000, where she managed client assessments and coordinated care plans for children and families. In 1999, she worked as a psychiatric social worker at the Mental Research Institute’s Latino Brief Therapy Center, providing mental health services to a range of patients.

From 1997 to 1998, Ms. Faiman held dual roles as a psychiatric social worker at Willow and Belle Haven Clinics in the adult services division and as a psychiatric social worker for the mental health youth team within the youth services division. With a career in this sector that dates back to 1984, she was first introduced to the field as a psychoeducational therapist at the National Hospital Carolina Tobar Garcia Mental Health Center in Argentina.

Ms. Faiman’s academic background has been instrumental in shaping her professional journey. She earned a Master of Science in energy medicine and energy psychology from The International Center for Reiki Training, reflecting her commitment to integrative wellness approaches. She also received a Master of Social Work in family and children’s mental health from the University of California, Berkeley. Furthermore, Ms. Faiman completed coursework in advanced training in brief family therapy at the Mental Research Institute of Palo Alto, further enhancing her expertise in family systems therapy. Her professional certifications include life coach training with a Certificate of Achievement from Robbins Madanes Training, licensure as an educational therapist and a clinical social worker, and psychoeducational therapist credentials.

In addition to her professional roles, Ms. Faiman is an active member of industry organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers and The Reiki Association. She has shared her expertise widely as a guest speaker at the Latino Summit from 2017 to 2019 and earlier through International Language Day presentations at Mountain View Los Altos School District between 2007 and 2019. Ms. Faiman extends her impact through civic involvement as a wellness coach and speaker at Los Altos High School, a PFAC participant at Stanford, a youth mentor within the Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District, and a member of the Patient Family Advisory Board.

Throughout her career, Ms. Faiman has been recognized for her ability to foster trust with clients and help them achieve long-term success through consistent treatment and support. She is lauded for developing innovative programs from scratch and advising organizations on practical improvements. Ms. Faiman was inspired to enter the field by recognizing gaps in support for individuals facing adversity. Her goal has always been to create pathways that address wellness across mental, physical and holistic well-being for children, parents and individuals alike.

Ms. Faiman’s contributions were recognized early on with several honors, beginning with a City of San Francisco Award for Exceptional Service to Spanish Speaking Families and their Children. She also received a Certificate of Congressional Recognition and a Certificate of Recognition for Organizing Parents and Families into Support Groups. Furthermore, Adriana Faiman’s Day was declared by the city of San Francisco.

Attributing her success to her personality, Ms. Faiman also notes her global experiences and deep appreciation for cultural diversity. These influences have guided her humanistic approach to social work, emphasizing cultural humility and understanding unmet needs within communities.

Looking ahead, Ms. Faiman intends to pursue a doctorate in social work while engaging in teaching or publishing endeavors. She also plans to continue writing her book, which draws on over four decades of hosting international guests. Ms. Faiman’s enduring commitment ensures her heart will always remain dedicated to advancing wellness worldwide.
