Mr. Goldberg has established himself in the construction industry, currently serving as the owner of M.E.G. Contractors Inc. since 2009. For more than 15 years, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in excavation, managing a team of skilled employees while overseeing all aspects of project execution, office administration and preparation for upcoming jobs. Under his guidance, M.E.G. Contractors Inc. has grown from a small operation with just Mr. Goldberg, one truck driver and one laborer, to a thriving business capable of handling larger projects. The addition of a longtime colleague with significant field experience in 2017 marked a pivotal moment for the company, enabling it to expand its capabilities and achieve greater success. Mr. Goldberg is most proud of his ability to foster a workplace where employees are satisfied and take pride in their fleet of equipment, reflecting his commitment to both operational excellence and employee well-being.

Recognized as a full-service site contractor, M.E.G. Contractors Inc. is headquartered in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, and serves much of the southeastern portion of the state. Providing both commercial-industrial and residential site construction solutions for clients, the company specializes in site construction, including demolition, land clearing, mass excavation and grading, asphalt/concrete paving and much more, while residential services include clearing lots, digging out basements for foundations and installing sewer systems, among other services for homes.

Before founding his own company, Mr. Goldberg built a solid foundation at Associated Paving Contractors from 1999 to 2008. He began his tenure as a laborer while still in high school and continued through college, steadily advancing to the role of superintendent. This period provided Mr. Goldberg with invaluable hands-on experience and insight into the industry, shaping his approach to business management and project oversight.

Mr. Goldberg’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2005. His formal education equipped him with technical knowledge and project management skills that have been instrumental in his professional achievements. Participation in co-op programs during college further enriched Mr. Goldberg’s practical understanding of the field, complementing the lessons learned from early work experiences.

A lifelong fascination with construction, sparked by family connections to the industry and nurtured from childhood, motivated Mr. Goldberg’s career path. He credits his success not only to his own drive to see others succeed and create positive outcomes for all involved but also to the dedication of his employees and the strong relationships he maintains with other contractors. While he does not cite a specific mentor, Mr. Goldberg draws inspiration from observing the growth of fellow contractors. He also acknowledges the significant impact of trusted colleagues who have helped expand his business.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Goldberg has demonstrated civic commitment, most notably as a volunteer firefighter for over a decade from 2000 to 2015, reflecting his dedication to community service.

Through sustained leadership, technical expertise and an unwavering focus on employee engagement, Mr. Goldberg has made significant contributions to the construction industry while upholding values that benefit both his team and clients. Looking ahead, he plans to continue investing in new equipment, modestly expand his workforce and pursue more on-site projects while maintaining a manageable business size. Mr. Goldberg also envisions operating out of an updated facility as part of ongoing efforts to enhance company operations and employee satisfaction.
