Earlier, in 2021, Mr. Tseng assumed the dual roles of group chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Amitofo Care Center International, an organization with which he has been affiliated for over two decades. He is responsible for overseeing strategic planning and providing direction to general managers and chief executives of each subsidiary. Mr. Tseng’s leadership ensures budgets are well managed and communication remains effective across the organization. Mr. Tseng’s association with Amitofo Care Center International began in 2018, when he was appointed group chief financial officer. Before these appointments, Mr. Tseng took a professional sabbatical from 2017 to 2018 to pursue a Master of Business Administration at Monash Business School in Australia.
From 2012 to 2016, Mr. Tseng was a consulting principal at Amida & Arthur. In 2011 and 2012, he was a senior executive in transaction advisory services for the Middle East and North Africa region at Ernst & Young. Among other roles, Mr. Tseng excelled as an assistant general manager at Sunny Equipment Co., Ltd., where he contributed to operations and business development initiatives between 2010 and 2011.
From 2008 to 2010, Mr. Tseng worked for Deloitte as a manager of mergers and acquisitions transaction services. Lauded for his ability to deliver results and manage high-performing global teams, this was particularly evident during his time at both Ernst & Young and Deloitte, where he oversaw numerous professionals across 11 countries and executed deliverables for several multimillion-dollar mergers and acquisitions transactions. Mr. Tseng began his career at the Institute of Business Advisors Southern Africa, advancing from junior accountant to group finance manager between 2004 and 2008.
Mr. Tseng’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in taxation and financial management, with honors, from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and a Master of Business Administration in strategy, negotiation and leadership from Monash Business School in Australia. He also holds a corporate finance graduate certificate from Harvard University. Additionally, Mr. Tseng’s professional credentials include chartered accountant status with Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and a master tax practitioner certification from the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners.
Active in his professional community, Mr. Tseng is affiliated with organizations like the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Institute of Business and Finance, and Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Tseng is deeply involved in civic activities as a volunteer with organizations such as the American Red Cross and the Tzu Chi Foundation, and in humanitarian aid initiatives across Africa. Notably, his entry into the nonprofit sector was inspired by volunteer work beginning in Malawi in 2004 with an organization dedicated to establishing schools for vulnerable children. This experience ignited Mr. Tseng’s passion for supporting orphans and underprivileged youth, a commitment that continues to define his professional path today.
An accomplished author, Mr. Tseng’s book “M&A Transactions: Financial Due Diligence from Zero to Professional,” published by CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform in 2013, reflects his ability to translate complex marketplace concepts into accessible language for those without technical backgrounds.
Throughout his career, Mr. Tseng has developed deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions transactions, financial due diligence, dashboard reporting and process improvement, mergers and acquisitions tax structuring, forensic auditing and corporate accounting.
