From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Morris excelled as the operating principal of the Morris Group at Century 21 Real Estate LLC, where he guided strategic initiatives and fostered professional development within his team. Recruited from Keller Williams Realty, LLC, he spent 2009 to 2014 as an operating principal and managing broker. In this role, Mr. Morris was instrumental in expanding market presence and cultivating a culture of collaboration among agents.
Mr. Morris’s earlier experience as a managing broker at Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC from 2008 to 2009 allowed him to leverage his expertise in luxury real estate markets. He also spent a decade as a managing broker at Realty Executives Residential, honing his property management and client relations skills from 1998 to 2008. Mr. Morris’s entry into the field began in 1994 as a general manager at Draper and Kramer, Incorporated, where he gained valuable experience in organizational leadership until 1996.
Before entering the real estate industry, Mr. Morris worked as a market manager for Osco Drug. This experience shaped his entrepreneurial aspirations, motivating him to pursue business ownership where he could make a meaningful impact on communities and build generational wealth for families through homeownership.
Mr. Morris’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from Upper Iowa University, earned in 1976. This educational background provided him with essential knowledge that has supported his success across various leadership roles.
Throughout his career, Mr. Morris has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to servant leadership at the local, state and national levels. He served as the president of the Chicago Association of Realtors in 2013 and Illinois Realtors in 2022. He also served as the Realtor Party director for the National Association of Realtors in 2025. These roles underscore Mr. Morris’s dedication to advancing the profession and advocating for industry standards.
Beyond his work-related endeavors, Mr. Morris’s civic engagement has been equally notable. He presently volunteers with the housing ministry at Trinity United Church of Christ, reflecting his dedication to service beyond his professional obligations. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Phi Fraternity. Mr. Morris is also recognized as a past president and former chair of Ada S. McKinley Community Services, where he contributed significantly for over five years.
Mr. Morris’s contributions have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including Realtor of the Year from Illinois Realtors in 2023 and with a President’s Award for Service from the National Association of Realtors in 2025. He attributes his achievements to strong mentorship. He also notes that being a good listener, maintaining humility, embracing lifelong learning and mentoring others have been critical to his overall success.
