Wealth Forward Advisors offers comprehensive services, including financial planning, investment management, tax planning, estate planning and insurance. The purpose of founding the firm was based on the principle of “pay it forward,” integrating philanthropy into the firm’s core mission. Notably, a portion of client fees is directed toward a charitable donor-advised fund. For every household that opens an account, a donor-advised fund is established, empowering clients to give back to causes of their choice.
Before launching his firm, Mr. Rana briefly served as a financial advisor at Essex Financial Services Inc. in Southport, Connecticut, in 2024. There, he deepened his understanding of the registered investment advisor industry and the operational nuances of independent wealth management firms. From 2023 to 2024, Mr. Rana was a financial advisor at Opal Wealth Advisors in the New York City metropolitan area. His tenure focused on providing tailored financial solutions and further refining his consultative approach to client service.
From 2015 to 2023, Mr. Rana was employed by Fidelity Investments in New York. Hired as an investment consultant, he transitioned to a financial consultant in 2016. During his tenure with Fidelity Investments, he gained invaluable experience navigating complex market environments. His leadership was particularly evident during periods of significant market volatility, such as the dot-com crash and the financial crisis, two of the most severe downturns since the Great Depression. Throughout these challenging times, Mr. Rana worked closely with clients, guiding them through uncertainty and earning their trust by providing steady support and expert counsel.
Among his earlier roles, Mr. Rana worked as an associate at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the Greater Philadelphia area in 2015. From 2007 to 2015, he served as a senior advisor, branch manager and principal at Cetera Financial Group (Investors Capital Corp.) in New York. Between 2004 and 2007, Mr. Rana was a senior advisor and branch principal at GunnAllen Financial in New York. He also held positions with Rake Financial Group, First Montauk Securities and Bank of New York (Quick & Reilly / Fleet Bank) in New York. Mr. Rana began his career in 1998 at Carnegie Investor Services in New York as a stockbroker trainee, where he built foundational skills in client service and investment analysis.
Mr. Rana graduated from Baruch College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance with a concentration in investment analysis. He later earned a master’s degree in finance, graduating as salutatorian. These academic achievements provided him with advanced analytical skills and a strong foundation for his professional success. In addition to his formal education, Mr. Rana has completed the Advanced Finance Program through Wharton Executive Education. He holds several industry certifications, including Series 4, Series 7, Series 24, Series 63 and Series 65 through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. A lifelong learner dedicated to expanding his knowledge, he is preparing for both the certified financial planner examination and certified investment management accreditation.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Rana is civically engaged as a supporter of women’s and children’s empowerment initiatives focused on education in Pakistan. His dedication to philanthropy is also reflected in his efforts to foster charitable giving among clients.
Among his accolades, Mr. Rana received an Achiever Award from Fidelity Investments, recognizing outstanding performance within the organization. He attributes his accomplishments to the unwavering support and encouragement of his family, as well as his persistence, qualities that have propelled him throughout his career.

He also plans to establish a foundation honoring his mother’s legacy in Pakistan and launch the Forgotten Ones Project, which will provide compassionate support for individuals struggling with addiction by helping them rebuild their lives through empathy, encouragement and practical assistance.
