Under his leadership, the restaurant has experienced remarkable growth, expanding by more than 1,400% since he assumed ownership. Mr. Rexhaj is known for his relentless work ethic, having taken only two days off in the past two years and working well over 100 hours per week. However, Mr. Rexhaj recently adjusted the restaurant’s operating hours to better balance customer demand and personal well-being, closing earlier on weekdays and weekends.
In his leading role, Mr. Rexhaj has curated an innovative menu that reflects both traditional Italian cuisine and contemporary culinary trends, including a diverse selection of pizzas, calzones and stromboli. He is currently developing new offerings inspired by international trends, including a chocolate pizza with shredded dry pasta, pistachio cream and Nutella, a sophisticated take on a classic dessert pizza. Additionally, Mr. Rexhaj plans to introduce the most expensive pizza in the United States, priced at approximately $11,600 and featuring lobster, truffle butter sauce, edible gold leaf, gold dust and caviar.
In addition to his professional achievements in hospitality, Mr. Rexhaj is an accomplished artist whose work was notably displayed at the White House for six months. His artistic sensibilities have also been evident throughout Viva Italian Pizza’s inviting space, which features his own paintings and photographs. Among Mr. Rexhaj’s notable creations is a table he designed and built over three and a half months. The table, appraised at $1.42 million by a local restaurateur and art gallery owner from Singer Island, is crafted to resemble the ocean and incorporates intricate figurines and hidden elements beneath layers of blue-tinted epoxy. Before taking ownership of Viva Italian Pizza, Mr. Rexhaj managed another Italian restaurant for several years, where he refined his skills in management and customer service. Earlier in his career, he worked as a pizza server after beginning as a delivery driver at a local pizza shop. These foundational roles allowed Mr. Rexhaj to develop a deep understanding of every aspect of the business, from food preparation to customer engagement, which later informed his approach as an owner.
Mr. Rexhaj earned a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, summa cum laude, from Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth Beach in 2025, ranking among the top 0.3% of students nationwide. He received the Academy Excellence Award from the college’s technology department in 2017. Mr. Rexhaj also holds several certifications that reflect his diverse interests, including as a scuba diver through PADI and a lifeguard through the American Red Cross. He is currently pursuing a private pilot license.
Remaining active as a member of the National Arts Honor Society, Mr. Rexhaj was also inducted into the international honor society, the Order of the Sword and Shield. Meanwhile, his civic engagement includes volunteering as a donor and certified lifeguard with the American Red Cross.
Mr. Rexhaj has been recognized for elevating Viva Italian Pizza to the number one-rated pizza shop in Palm Beach County in both 2024 and 2025. He credits much of his success to the influence of his mother, who was a teacher for over 40 years and instilled in him a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Looking ahead, Mr. Rexhaj intends to expand Viva Italian Pizza so that it can ultimately operate independently under new management while he pursues opportunities in cybersecurity. He aims to establish his own cybersecurity company dedicated to protecting individuals and organizations worldwide while remaining close to family members who require support. Through all endeavors, Mr. Rexhaj values the connections he has built with clients and continues to seek recognition for both his culinary innovations and artistic creations.
