Chris Jorgensen, Founder at Jera Business Solutions, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Hospitality, Consulting and Operational Excellence.

Mr. Jorgensen’s career has spanned three decades, marked by operational excellence, lean manufacturing and servant leadership. In recent years, he co-founded and became a small business owner at Norse Brewing Company in 2018, a local eatery featuring Scandinavian food and a large selection of wine, liquor and craft beer on tap. With locations in both Wake Forest and Zebulon, North Carolina, Mr. Jorgensen manages both locations alongside his wife and sister-in-law, which include a brewery and winery that produces beer, cider and seltzer with a liquor and wine bar and a full kitchen.

Additionally, Mr. Jorgensen launched Jera Business Solutions, a consulting company, in 2025. His firm was founded after more than 30 years in engineering, working for some of the largest global corporations and several smaller, privately owned businesses. Specializing in leadership transportation, Mr. Jorgensen provides tiered management and accountability, and expert coaching services to clients.

Jera Business Solutions strives to focus on operational excellence and leadership coaching, emphasizing servant leadership over traditional models. Mr. Jorgensen values helping people and focuses on improving businesses in ways that protect the employees who depend on their jobs, rather than defaulting to cutting headcount to raise margins. He also coaches his clients in understanding that most learned behaviors are conscious and, despite their best efforts, revert to their core traits when challenged. By focusing on daily intention, Mr. Jorgensen can help them become better leaders.

Formerly the vice president of lean management at Bora Pharmaceuticals in 2024, before founding Jera Business Solutions one year later, Mr. Jorgensen was instrumental in supporting the Taiwanese international contract development and manufacturing organization’s (CDMO) rapid growth. During his short tenure, he helped drive the CDMO plan to expand from $300 million to $1 billion in revenue.

Mr. Jorgensen’s journey began with an internship as a marketing consultant at Bang & Olufsen in Denmark in 1995. This experience was followed by a quality advisor internship at Cascade Eye and Skin Center in Puyallup, Washington, in 1996. Mr. Jorgensen then joined Boeing as an industrial engineer from 1996 to 1997 and later served as an organization advisor for the global aerospace company until 1998.

In 1998, Mr. Jorgensen’s tenure at General Electric commenced as a program manager and Six Sigma black belt in ecommerce operations. He progressed through various roles, including program manager for e-business, new product development, and director of the E/IT portal program until 2003.

In 2003, Mr. Jorgensen transitioned to Genworth, where he held directorial positions in career sales, marketing, information technology and operations technology until 2008. His career trajectory continued upward at Siemens, where he served as the director of global lean programs in supply chain management from 2008 to 2010 before becoming the vice president of operations development until 2016. Subsequently, Mr. Jorgensen joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as the vice president of global operational excellence from 2016 to 2023.

Mr. Jorgensen’s academic background includes an associate degree in international marketing from the Institute of Business and Technology in Denmark in 1995 and a bachelor’s degree in business from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, in 1996. His education laid the foundation for his career achievements, complemented by certifications in lean manufacturing from Boeing and Six Sigma from General Electric.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Jorgensen is actively involved with civic organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity International and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He also supports local food banks and cancer-related causes through Norse Brewing Company.

Throughout his career, Mr. Jorgensen has been driven by a commitment to creating jobs and optimizing processes without resorting to layoffs. His dedication to servant leadership is evident in his refusal to comply with demands that contradicted his principles, such as when he chose to leave a corporate role rather than terminate employees unnecessarily.

Mr. Jorgensen attributes much of his success to the unwavering support of his wife, who has been instrumental in managing their household while he pursued his career ambitions. Looking ahead, he aims to expand Jera Business Solutions into a thriving consulting firm while focusing on developing servant leadership skills among executives. Mr. Jorgensen’s goal is to help leaders integrate their personal and professional lives effectively, drawing on his own experiences and insights gained throughout his distinguished career.
