Karen E. Stafford, Owner at Unique Finds at the Berry Patch, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements and leadership in Antiques and Estate Sales.

Ms. Stafford has established herself as an expert in the field of antiques and estate sales. Her journey into the industry began with her father’s influence, who was a prominent antique promoter. This early exposure was instrumental in laying the foundation for her work with 19th-century furniture and antiques. In 1996, Ms. Stafford established Unique Finds at the Berry Patch in Tallahassee, Florida, where she has since cultivated a reputation for quality and integrity. Her business expanded significantly in 2025 when she acquired the Berry Patch from a retiring friend, merging it with her own brand to create a comprehensive estate-sale and antique operation.

Throughout her career, Ms. Stafford has distinguished herself by her meticulous approach to estate sales. She carefully selects upscale neighborhoods and high-quality items for her sales, ensuring each event reflects her commitment to excellence. Ms. Stafford’s methodical staging process often takes three weeks, allowing her to present items in an organized and appealing manner. This dedication has earned her acclaim from clients who appreciate the thoughtful presentation and accurate pricing of each piece.

Early in her career, Ms. Stafford found success buying, selling and staging antiques at one of the largest antique shows in Florida, the West Palm Beach Antique Show. After 15 years in this capacity, she relocated to northern Florida, where she continues to make an impact on her field. Becoming involved with online sales, Ms. Stafford also began reselling items at various antique malls and venues.

Ms. Stafford graduated from high school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While she did not pursue formal higher education, her lifelong learning through hands-on experience and mentorship has been instrumental in her success. The teachings of Ms. Stafford’s father on honesty and quality have guided her throughout her career, emphasizing transparency in all transactions.

Leveraging her extensive background and knowledge of antiques, including fine and costume jewelry, 18th– and 19th-century furniture, glassware, art and fine porcelain, Ms. Stafford has made a name for herself as a leader widely recognized for her work. Looking ahead, she aspires to become the leading estate-sale company in her area and the surrounding communities. Her goal is to build a reputation so strong that clients seek her services first. With a keen eye for quality antiques and a passion for staging sales that highlight each item’s unique value, Ms. Stafford continues to make significant strides toward achieving this ambition.
