Before embarking on his professional path, he pursued an education at Arizona State University where he earned bachelor degrees in criminal justice in 1982 and in architecture in 1987, and a Master in Architecture in 1989.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Szafran has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He was a board member of the Arizona Recreational Center for the Handicapped since 2020 and a donor to St. Vincent de Paul. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and the American Institute of Architects.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Szafran has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in America. His company was ranked as the number one favorite place to work in Arizona by Ranking Arizona since 2019, and ranked number two in interior design and number three in high-tech facilities and hospitality. He attributes his success to dedication to the craft, surrounding himself with good people, being honest and fair, and taking care of their clients. In the immediate future, he intends to maintain the company’s reputation and bring on one more owner so he can retire in five years and travel the world.
