He also dedicates his time as a director and past chairman of Cal Poly’s Graphic Communication program, is an entrepreneur, mentor, panelist, and evangelist at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, SLO Hot House, and has served on the board of directors and as past chair of the board for the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association, now known as Printing United Alliance. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Profit First Professional of the Year by Profit First in 2019, the Parmele Lifetime Award from the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association in 2001, and the Cal Poly Honored Alumni Award from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo in 1999. He is also a five-time recipient of the Swormstedt Technical Writing Award from the Specialty Graphics and Imaging Association and a member of the Ben Franklin Honor Society.
Laying a solid foundation for these successes, Mr. Coudray earned a Bachelor of Science in graphic communications, graduating summa cum laude from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 1977. He also holds a certification as a Profit First Professional at the Mastery Level. Reflecting on his career, he takes great pride in the numerous accolades earned by Catalyst Plan for their work. In 2020, Catalyst Plan was recognized as the Innovative Business Model of the Year for the screen and digital printing industry by the Academy of Screen and Digital Printing Innovation. Additionally, his contributions have been recognized by organizations such as Profit First, where he was named the Profit First Professional of the Year in 2019 for his exceptional work on a global scale. Looking ahead, he is working toward retirement, with the business currently being positioned for a potential exit.
