He remains active as a member of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) for over 40 years, an organization owned by NASCAR that operates as the third tier of NASCAR in the racing series. ARCA’s mission is to serve as a driver development program for Toyota.
During his tenure in motorsports, Mr. Venturini participated in the NASCAR Cup Series, became lauded as the fastest driver in the history of ARCA and was named to the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame. He was also recognized as a two-time national champion by the ARCA Bondo and Mar-Hyde Series every year between 1987 and 1991 and was named as the Rookie of the Year by ARCA in 1983. Moreover, Mr. Venturini holds the all-time qualifying records at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. Despite suffering a broken neck during a race at Michigan Speedway, he reflects on his career with fond memories, emphasizing the importance of fairness in dealings and the commitment to rectify failures to deliver on promises.
