Sought after for her expertise, Ms. Wertman prepared for her future by achieving an Associate of Arts in arts from Hagerstown Community College in 2007, a Bachelor in Fine and Studio Arts from Frostburg State University in 2009 and a Master of Fine Arts in photography from the Academy of Art University in 2019. Prior to starting her business, she had worked in various fields, including education and office management, contributing to her success today as an award-winning photographer. It was not until age 40 that Ms. Wertman returned to college to pursue her passion and ultimately open Wertman Photography.
Apart from her work-related ventures, Ms. Wertman is active in her community as a contributor to various hospice charitable events, homeless shelters, art venues and symphonies. She is also a founding member of her local Christkindlmarket and a member of the Historic Preservation Commission, her local chamber of commerce and various local photography groups. Ms. Wertman credits her personal and professional success to her positive attitude, ability to foster personal connections, community involvement and collaboration with other organizations and businesses.
