Recruited to his organization from Novo Nordisk, Mr. Geissler was affiliated with the global pharmaceutical manufacturing company, headquartered in Denmark, between 2018 and 2021. Based in Plainsboro, he excelled as an associate manager and financial planning and analysis manager. As a senior manager of the organization, Mr. Geissler played a pivotal role in analyzing data related to patients and doctors. He also contributed significantly to products like Xcenda and the launch of the obesity treatment Wegovy.
Mr. Geissler’s journey in finance began at Ernst & Young in Times Square, New York. From 2015 to 2017, he was involved in the company’s forensic and fraud practice. This experience was instrumental in shaping his understanding of technology’s role in finance. He also led process improvements by implementing technologies like Alteryx to automate data flows and create real-time dashboards. Mr. Geissler joined Ernst & Young as an assurance staff member in 2015.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Geissler held various other roles, including as a compliance consultant at Verizon from 2017 to 2018. While pursuing his degrees, he served as the student for a day coordinator on campus from 2011 to 2013. Mr. Geissler also gained valuable experience as a tax intern at Novo Nordisk and TE Connectivity between 2013 and 2014 and as a fraud and forensic intern at Johnson & Johnson in 2014.
Mr. Geissler studied at Rider University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2014 and a master’s degree in accounting in 2015. His education laid the foundation for his professional achievements, complemented by credentials as a certified public accountant in New York and as a certified fraud examiner. These credentials have been crucial in Mr. Geissler’s ability to navigate complex financial landscapes.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Geissler is actively involved in civic activities. He volunteers at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. He also participates in various charitable initiatives through Genmab, such as assembling lunch bags for local nonprofit organizations and engaging in creative projects for children with cancer. Looking ahead, Mr. Geissler aims to further integrate technology into finance, aspiring to advance into strategic roles like chief operating officer or chief financial officer.
