Mr. Vigilucci’s journey in the restaurant industry began after immigrating to the U.S. from Milan, Italy, at age 20. Initially planning to stay only one year to learn English, he quickly adapted to life in a new country by taking on various positions, including in hospitality and landscaping. Mr. Vigilucci’s early experiences in the restaurant sector notably saw him progress from dishwasher and salad prep to busboy, server and manager before ultimately opening his own establishment. 

Beyond his business endeavors, Mr. Vigilucci is actively involved in civic initiatives and charitable organizations. He volunteers with local community groups and churches, supports the Boys & Girls Club through fundraising efforts, and contributes time and resources to the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation. Additionally, Mr. Vigilucci serves as both a volunteer and a sponsor for the Helen Woodward Animal Center, reflecting a strong commitment to giving back to the community.

Mr. Vigilucci’s contributions to the industry were recently recognized with the Best of North County award in 2024, underscoring his impact on the regional dining scene. He credits much of his success to his approach to business, which is deeply rooted in fostering loyalty and growth among his staff. Notably, several of Mr. Vigilucci’s current managers began their careers as busboys at age 16, while many of his long-standing employees have been employed by his company for 15 to 20 years. Additionally, he attributes his achievements to hard work, unwavering dedication and a genuine passion for the industry.
