Over the past five years, she has served as the co-founder and lead consultant at EmeralDreams, where she has played a pivotal role in licensing and screening films, managing client communications, drafting policy documents and preparing presentations and training workshops for industry professionals. Ms. Vogt’s work at EmeralDreams also includes developing sustainable tourism projects and reviewing key documents, such as the United Nations Coastal Tourism Breakthrough. Her expertise is further demonstrated by her leadership in producing the Palau Sustainable Travel Guide, a project that reflects her deep connection to her roots and her commitment to advancing responsible travel practices. Notably, the Republic of Palau is an island country located in the Micronesia subregion of Oceania in the western Pacific Ocean.

In 2024, Ms. Vogt also assumed the role of lead producer at SEASTORIA, a California-based company that advises corporate leaders, technology companies and family offices on accelerating sustainable business, technology development and climate innovation. In her role, Ms. Vogt engages in climate strategy and storytelling initiatives.

Ms. Vogt’s earlier experience as a climate change negotiator with the Youth Negotiators Academy from 2022 to 2023 included representing Palau as an Article 6 negotiator at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), advocating for climate action on behalf of small island nations.

From 2021 to 2024, Ms. Vogt was a climate solutions manager at Sustainable Travel International, where she conducted carbon footprint assessments for more than 100 companies and contributed to the development of global sustainability standards for the travel sector. She also excelled as a local coordinator for the International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF) with the Palau Bureau of Tourism from 2020 to 2021. During this period, Ms. Vogt was also country coordinator for Sustainable Travel International. Ms. Vogt’s earlier roles include serving as a sustainability and social responsibility associate at the Pacific Asia Travel Association from 2019 to 2020.

Ms. Vogt’s professional journey began at Walla Walla University, where she served as global service director from 2016 to 2017, after serving as an events associate and office assistant from 2013 to 2016. These formative experiences provided her with foundational skills in project management and organizational leadership.

Beyond her primary roles, Ms. Vogt is a co-author and leader of the United Nations Coastal Tourism Breakthrough, the first global commitment by the travel and tourism industry to address climate action in coastal regions by reducing emissions and adapting to climate change by 2050. She is also a co-founder of Ongedaol Nature Resort Palau, a travel advisor for Fora Travel Inc. and an advisor to The Travel Foundation.

Ms. Vogt’s academic background has been instrumental in shaping her career trajectory. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in international communications and a minor in business, summa cum laude, from Walla Walla University in College Place, Washington, in 2017, providing her with strong foundations in media, writing and business strategy. She also received a Master of Science in tourism, environment and development, with distinction, from King’s College London in 2020, equipping her with advanced knowledge in sustainable destination management.

Beyond her formal education, Ms. Vogt has pursued extensive professional credentials that have enhanced her expertise, recently including a sustainable tourism professional certificate from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council in 2021, a climate change professional certification from the Association of Climate Change Officers in 2024, and a 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training certification from All Yoga Thailand, All Yoga International Ltd., in 2025.

Ms. Vogt’s civic engagement includes serving on the board of Create Belau. She is also deeply involved as a climate advocate through her volunteer work as a Pacific Climate Warrior representing Palau, a select group collaborating on advocacy campaigns and films that raise awareness of the impacts of climate change on their home islands.

Attributing her success to an open-minded approach that embraces new challenges and learning opportunities, Ms. Vogt also credits her mother as a significant influence on her entrepreneurial spirit and leadership style. Looking ahead, she plans to expand her family’s accommodation business into a wellness retreat that integrates travel and tourism within an off-the-grid resort in Palau while continuing to pursue opportunities in sustainable tourism.
