Ms. Carson has established a distinguished career in marketing and branding, demonstrating expertise and leadership across multiple industries. Since 2015, she has served as the owner and president of Promo Xpertz LLC in Wildwood, Missouri, where she helps clients to select premium items that effectively represent their businesses and branding while staying within budget.
Ms. Carson is also the president of Promo Xpertz LLC in the Greater St. Louis area, a role she has held since 2015. Prior to this role, from 1997 to 2015, she owned a marketing consulting company, Marketing Xperience LLC, with a business partner. Her entrepreneurial spirit is exemplified by her most notable achievement: founding two companies from the ground up without small-business loans, relying solely on direct-mail strategies to build both enterprises.
In addition to her ongoing leadership at Marketing Xperience LLC and Promo Xpertz LLC, Ms. Carson simultaneously worked as a radio talk show host and producer in St. Louis for her show “Women in Business” which was live on KWRH, KXOK and distributed nationally and internationally by Zeno FM, streaming through Ottu Media, from 2022 to 2023. In this capacity, she contributed to local media by producing and hosting a program that engaged the community and attracted some of the top female entrepreneurs and business owners in the St. Louis area as guests. The show gained more than three million listeners all over U.S. and internationally.
Between 1995 and 2015, Ms. Carson co-owned St. Louis based Marketing Xperience LLC with a business partner. During this period, she honed her marketing and branding skills, providing innovative solutions for clients and expanding her professional network. Ms. Carson’s earlier career included serving initially as publicity director for Stix, Baer and Fuller Department Stores and later as wedding registry director for the Midwest Division of Dillard’s Department Stores Inc. from 1989 to 1996 responsible for training bridal consultants in 35 department stores.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Carson spent 10 years as a publicity and special events coordinator at Stix, Baer & Fuller, starting in 1979. She began her professional journey in 1969 as British Pro Consul at the British Consulate General, where she also dedicated 10 years.
Ms. Carson’s academic background includes an associate degree in English language and English literature from Edgehill College in Bideford, North Devon, Great Britain, earned in 1965. This foundation has been instrumental in shaping her communication skills and creative approach to marketing initiatives. Ms. Carson further enhanced her credentials by earning certification as a Marketing Consultant from the eMarketing Association in 2015, underscoring her dedication to continuous learning and professional excellence.
In addition to her education, Ms. Carson’s commitment to professional development is reflected in her membership with The Advertising Specialty Institute and Women Empowering Women. These affiliations have enabled her to remain at the forefront of industry trends and expand her influence within the marketing sector.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Carson has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to civic engagement and community service. As a co-organizer of the Holiday Expo for a nonprofit, Gateway to Dreams, in 2016 and as a writer and project manager for the organization’s monthly newsletter, she has played a pivotal role in fostering community connections and collaboration among entrepreneurial and small business owner members.
Ms. Carson also chaired the Brentwood Women’s Business Expo for the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce in 2018, co-chaired the Impact Awards for Gateway to Dreams in 2019, and served as a board member of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce and as an advisory board member for KWRH-LP 92.9 FM since 2020. Furthermore, her philanthropic efforts include supporting organizations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation and Duo Dogs, Inc., as well as participating in Women Empowering Women and GRIT initiatives.
Throughout her career, Ms. Carson has contributed creatively as a writer and project manager for various publications, including trifolds, flyers and event signage for clients. Her achievements have been recognized with several accolades, such as being named No. 1 Business in Wildwood by Alignable in 2024 and 2025.
