Before taking ownership of his business, Mr. Nelson served as the general manager at Clean Environments in San Antonio from 2025 to 2026. In this capacity, he managed daily operations, coordinated project teams and maintained client relationships, strengthening the company’s reputation for excellence in environmental services. Mr. Nelson initially joined the organization in 2000 as a senior project manager, leading complex projects from inception to completion. In 2001, he also became an asbestos consultant, mold consultant and lead risk assessor at Clean Environments, servicing multiple states, including Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Florida, as well as parts of the Northeast, such as New York, New Jersey and Texas.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Nelson’s responsibilities have included conducting comprehensive assessments, identifying potential hazards and recommending effective remediation strategies. His technical acumen and attention to detail have been instrumental in safeguarding the health of building occupants and ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, Mr. Nelson’s leadership has been vital in driving organizational growth and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Nelson worked as a project manager at Engineering Consulting Services Ltd. in San Antonio from 2000 to 2001. There, he gained valuable experience managing geo-technical engineering projects and conducting CMT inspections, laying the foundation for his subsequent achievements in environmental consulting.
Mr. Nelson’s professional development is supported by his academic background. He earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental management with concentrations in mathematics and environmental studies from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama, in 2010. This educational foundation provided him with the analytical skills and scientific knowledge necessary for success in his specialized field.
In addition to his education, Mr. Nelson’s commitment to professional excellence is reflected in his membership in the Indoor Air Quality Association, which connects him with industry peers and keeps him informed of emerging trends and best practices.
