Douglas J. Boggs, Acting President at General Construction/Consulting, LLC, Founder and Creative Director at Olive Publishing, LLC, and Owner and Chief Executive Officer at KDB Int’l Holdings, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Cryptocurrency and Construction Administration.
Mr. Boggs has established a distinguished career spanning four decades, marked by innovation, resilience and leadership across multiple industries. His diverse background includes serving as the acting president at General Construction/Consulting, LLC, in Northern California since 1999. As both a project manager and construction supervisor, Mr. Boggs has overseen numerous construction projects and consulting engagements for over 25 years, specializing in both residential and commercial properties.
During the early 2000s, Mr. Boggs managed approximately 30 properties in California that he purchased, rented and flipped. Around 2008, he expanded his operations to Texas, where he designed five homes for a new development near family. Despite the global economic downturn at the time, Mr. Boggs pioneered the use of thermal-insulated concrete structures made of concrete and steel, homes designed to be recyclable and accessible for aging residents with features such as higher outlets and wider hallways for mobility aids. He was the first builder in this development, taking significant risks during an uncertain period. Some properties were sold while others were returned to banks or held by investors, resulting in a mix of outcomes, including losses and attempts to recover investments through 1031 exchanges.
In 2020, Mr. Boggs founded Olive Publishing, LLC, in San Francisco, California, serving as the publishing firm’s creative director. Through this venture, he specializes in nonfiction while assisting business professionals and entrepreneurs in making their mark.
More recently, Mr. Boggs became recognized as the owner and chief executive officer of KDB Int’l Holdings, LLC, in 2024, where he manages a boutique crypto investment fund. Under his direction, the fund has achieved a portfolio rate of return of over 310%. His responsibilities include researching and defining real-world digital assets for the portfolio, with a focus on systemic assets that facilitate global monetary movement across blockchain platforms for institutional, investment and retail transactions. Mr. Boggs also owns and authors a crypto investment website on Substack.com, sharing insights into the evolving landscape of digital finance.
Among Mr. Boggs’s previous ventures, he maintained a successful freelance career as a voice-over artist from 1988 to 2020. He also contributed to Boggs Development Group, LLC, during the early 2000s. Between 2018 and 2021, Mr. Boggs worked as a Bloomberg forensic loan securitization auditor, analyst and expert witness in North Carolina. During this period, he gained national attention for his decade-long legal battle against his bank to protect his home from fraudulent foreclosure actions. Representing himself in federal, state and state supreme courts without financial resources for legal counsel, Mr. Boggs later chronicled his experience in a book.
Mr. Boggs’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts in music theory and composition from the University of Northern Iowa in 1985. He also received several professional credentials, including general contractor credentials from the California Secretary of State, mortgage securitization auditor and forensic mortgage securitization auditor certification from the Certified Forensic Loan Auditors, and designation as a Reiki practitioner and ordained minister through Universal Life Church.
Civic engagement is central to Mr. Boggs’s values. Since 2004, he has served as a project manager for Rebuilding Together in Albany, Berkeley and Emeryville, organizations dedicated to revitalizing communities through volunteer-driven home repairs. He has also volunteered as a meal server at GLIDE and participated in food distribution efforts at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco.
As an author and thought leader, Mr. Boggs continues to contribute to public discourse through multiple publications. Among them is “Quantum of Justice – The Fraud of Foreclosure and the Illegal Securitization of Notes by Wall Street” in 2021. The acclaimed book was based on his legal battle and received positive reviews for its compelling account of confronting systemic injustice within judicial, economic and legislative systems. Mr. Boggs’s forthcoming publication, “The Great Reconfiguration: The Quantum of Justice Addendum,” is scheduled for release in 2027. Additionally, he maintains an ongoing blog “SMOKE & MIRRORS…XRP and the art of Critical Thinking.” Notably, Mr. Boggs is actively pursuing adaptation opportunities for “Quantum of Justice,” including development discussions for a Netflix miniseries.
Mr. Boggs earned early recognition at the age of 14 when he was inducted into the Child Performers Hall of Fame by the Shallway Foundation in 1979 for opera performance. Although initially aspiring to pursue a career in the entertainment sector after being honored for his musical talent, he ultimately joined his family’s construction business.
Throughout his career, Mr. Boggs has been interviewed on ABC, KQED and CNBC’s “Money Show,” further establishing his visibility as an industry expert. He was also highlighted in Dwell Magazine and featured on HGTV’s “Curb Appeal” for his contributions to sustainable housing. Mr. Boggs attributes his achievements to the strong values instilled by his parents.
Looking ahead, Mr. Boggs intends to complete his current construction projects before retiring fully from active business management while continuing to monitor his investment group amid changing economic conditions. He plans to focus primarily on writing and maintaining his blog on cryptocurrency investing. Selective consulting work or board service may remain part of Mr. Boggs’s activities alongside travel with his wife.
Mr. Boggs hopes to be remembered as someone who consistently shows up for others, never asking anyone to do something he would not do himself or had not already done. His goal is for his legacy to be defined by integrity, resilience and service across all facets of life.
