Before founding Harrisburg Security Inc., Mr. Ives excelled as a police officer at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1998 to 2002. In this role, he gained valuable experience in law enforcement within an academic setting in Charlotte. Mr. Ives also served as a lieutenant in the U.S. National Guard between 1998 and 2000, following service as an infantry soldier. These formative experiences provided him with firsthand knowledge of security protocols and leadership under pressure, skills that have informed his approach as a business owner.
Mr. Ives’s academic foundation included earning a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Buffalo State University in Buffalo, New York, in 1997. This education equipped him with critical insights into legal frameworks and justice systems that have been instrumental throughout his career in both law enforcement and private security. Additionally, Mr. Ives’s professional affiliations, which include membership in the Charlotte Area Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau, reflect his commitment to ethical business practices and community engagement.
