Since 2017, he has served as the co-owner of Futurity19, a masonry company delivering construction services to municipalities that include Chicago, as well as Evanston and Aurora, Illinois. Under Mr. Forbes’s stewardship, the company has experienced consistent growth and projects significant revenue increases in the coming years.
Before focusing exclusively on Futurity19, Mr. Forbes held several key positions that shaped his professional development. From 2025 to 2026, he was a business development manager for cross-selling at The CAM Collective in Chicago. Earlier, he served as a controller at Outer Banks Capital Inc., also in Chicago, between 2021 and 2025. Additionally, from 2014 to 2025, Mr. Forbes was a controller at Westward360, one of the city’s largest property management firms. During this period, Mr. Forbes contributed to launching approximately two dozen companies under the Westward360 banner, including ventures in maintenance, accounting and telecommunications, gaining valuable experience with regulatory compliance set forth by the Federal Communications Commission and state Public Utilities Commissions.
Among Mr. Forbes’s earlier roles, he was a business manager at Hinsdale Adventist Academy in Hinsdale, Illinois, from 2012 to 2014, where he focused on balancing budgets and securing funding for students. His entry into management began as an assistant administrator and managed care coordinator at Overland Park Nursing & Rehab Center in Overland Park, Kansas, in 2009.
Mr. Forbes’ academic background has played a pivotal role in his professional accomplishments. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in long-term care administration and management from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee, in 2008, followed by the completion of an assistant administrator internship at Highland Manor Nursing and Rehab Center Inc. (now Signature HealthCare of Portland Rehab & Wellness Center) in Portland, Tennessee, in 2008. Mr. Forbes also received a Master of Business Administration in marketing in 2011 and a Master of Financial Management in 2012 on campus. These degrees provided him with advanced knowledge essential for managing complex financial operations and driving business growth.
In addition to his formal education, Mr. Forbes held a nursing home administrator license issued by the Kansas Department of Health & Environment Health Occupations Credentialing from 2009 to 2016. This certification supported his early work in healthcare administration and underscored his commitment to regulatory compliance.
Professional memberships have also contributed significantly to Mr. Forbes’ success. He is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, two leading organizations within accounting and finance, which have provided valuable resources for ongoing professional development.
Civically invested, Mr. Forbes is the president of The Gigi Gonzalez Foundation, which he established in 2024 to honor his mother’s legacy. The foundation supports underserved youth through sports programs and assists educational institutions, including Hinsdale Adventist Academy and local schools throughout Chicago and its suburbs. Mr. Forbes is also recognized for raising more than $3 million in a single semester for Southern Adventist University’s endowment fund, a record achievement for the institution. Furthermore, he has maintained longstanding support for Hinsdale Adventist Academy since 2012, serves as a board member for Westerity at Westward360 and contributes to Feed My Starving Children.
Networking has been central to Mr. Forbes’ advancement. He attributes much of his success to relationships cultivated through education and professional circles.
