In addition to his role at H.I.L. Financial, Mr. Weaver has maintained an independent practice as a derivatives trader for over 25 years, since 1998. In this capacity, he has developed significant expertise in trading strategies and financial instruments.

Mr. Weaver’s recent professional experience also included serving as a sales consultant at Marck Recycling from 2023 to 2024 after briefly working as a lobsterman with Weaver Enterprises in 2022. His diverse background also included his position as the vice president of sales at Partners Capital Group between 2019 and 2022, while concurrently serving as a senior national account executive from 2019 to 2021. These roles allowed him to hone his skills in sales leadership and client relations within the equipment finance sector.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Weaver was a financial advisor at Waddell & Reed Financial Advisors from 2013 to 2017. During this period in Seattle, he managed investments for over 75 households and provided comprehensive financial planning services.

Before this position, Mr. Weaver held various marketing and sales roles for companies like Cascade Community Wind Co., Fifth on Sixth Marketing and Creative Openings. In academia, he spent five years as an associate professor at Macao Polytechnic Institute (now Macao Polytechnic University), starting in 2003, where he taught public relations. While there, he notably contributed to major projects, including the grand opening of MGM casinos and the launch of the first Starbucks in Macau.

Mr. Weaver also devoted over a decade to his role as a management consultant between 1996 and 2008, where he contributed to projects such as feasibility studies for golf courses and yacht clubs in China and the Philippines. His professional journey began in hospitality as an assistant manager at Westin Resort Macau (now Grand Coloane Resort), following his initial work as a golf coordinator at Macau Golf and Country Club, beginning in 1994.

Throughout his career journey, Mr. Weaver has demonstrated exceptional skill in structuring financial instruments and developing investment portfolios for businesses seeking growth and financial success. He is particularly proud of his ability to help organizations design debt schedules that enable them to acquire essential resources for expansion.

Mr. Weaver’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu in 1994 and a Master of Business Administration in international business from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu in 2000. His academic achievements provided a strong foundation for his later successes in finance and business management. To support his financial career, Mr. Weaver earned Series 7 certification through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Series 66 certification through the North American Securities Administrators Association. He also received certification in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning from the University of Texas at Austin.  Today, Mr. Weaver remains active through membership in Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, a recognition of academic excellence during his university years.

Mr. Weaver’s approach is grounded in perseverance, a quality he credits for much of his success, and an unwavering focus on understanding clients’ needs above all else.
