Michael G. Metal

Title: Chief Executive Officer
Company: Metal to Hope Global
Location: Garden Grove, California, United States

Michael G. Metal, Chief Executive Officer at Metal to Hope Global, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in social work.

Upon achieving a Bachelor of Science in behavioral sciences from Ellis University in 2009, Mr. Metal went on to earn a Master of Arts in social work from the University of Southern California in 2013. Fueled by his childhood experiences of homelessness in an immigrant family, he desired to enter a career in social work to make a real difference in the lives of homeless youth. In 2019, Mr. Metal spearheaded Metal to Hope Global, an organization dedicated to benefiting disadvantaged children by providing traditional housing at a cost-efficient rate. As the founder and chief executive officer, he believes that no child should be responsible for their homeless predicaments and has made it his mission to help as many children in California, and the country, as he can.

Backed by 10 years of experience in the field, Mr. Metal specializes in clinical social work and mental health in an organic, mutually supported environment. From his work, he was able to witness that the subsidized programs the county strongly promotes through the Department of Mental Health were not meeting the basic needs of those clients and recipients. Through Metal to Hope Global, he can offer children a better quality of life and a strong support system. For his unmatched contributions to the field, Mr. Metal was granted an International Award for Excellence from the Journal of Mental Health and Wellness in 2010. He attributes his success to his military experiences that taught him to never quit despite any circumstances. He also owes thanks to Leroy Fetter, who consistently motivated and inspired him.

To remain abreast in his field, Mr. Metal maintains affiliation with the National Association of Social Work. Likewise, he is a former member of his local Rotary. Looking back on his career thus far, Mr. Metal has had many career accomplishments, including being the first academic author to classify the origin of post-traumatic stress disorder. On the job, he has immensely enjoyed watching how his work has directly impacted the lives of poor and homeless children in a positive way. Reflecting on his upbringing, he wishes that there was a program like Metal to Hope Global that could have aided him and his family. Looking ahead in his career trajectory, Mr. Metal hopes to continue to house as many children as his work can reach.
