Since 1993, Mr. Waardenburg has excelled as the owner of Inspired Martial Arts, which offers programs including Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.He has extensive experience training children and considers seeing them grow and learn firsthand to be one of the highlights of his professional career. In addition to teaching his pupils martial arts, he also takes pride in imparting personal skills they can use throughout their lives, such as confidence, discipline, character, focus, and respect.
Mr. Waardenburg is proud to help his students improve their fitness and self-defense abilities. He has served his business as an instructor and was named Most Inspiring Instructor in 2007, 2010, 2011, and 2012. He also earned Instructor of the Year in 2013 due to his passion for working with his students. Mr. Waardenburg’s areas of expertise include child development through martial arts, building confidence, business leadership, and customer relations.
Currently, Mr. Waardenburg teaches a morning class at Inspired Martial Arts and handles business duties such as marketing, bills, advertisement, and employee curriculum. He returns to educating in the late afternoon and works with students as young as three years old to adults. In addition to running his business, Mr. Waardenburg contributes to his community through his local parent-teacher associations, donating to pride festivals and charities, and fundraising.
Mr. Waardenburg attributes his success to his passion for martial arts. He became involved with the industry after attending a martial arts academy in high school and later purchased the school he worked for. He considers owning and running his own business to be his most notable professional achievement, and he is proud of improving the lives of his students. In the coming years, Mr. Waardenburg hopes to develop Inspired Martial Arts into one of the best martial arts schools in New England.
