Chad Turner, President of Simple Transport Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in transportation and logistics.
In his current post as president of Simple Transport Inc., Mr. Turner is responsible for human resources, maintenance for 48 trucks, and management of more than 90 employees. He has excelled in this position since 2000. In preparation for his career, Mr. Turner graduated from high school and earned his Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Mr. Turner attributes his success to sticking with the company through adversity, as there were many times where he considered giving up but persevered. Alongside his primary professional endeavors, he has been a volunteer with the Wounded Warrior Project. Additionally, he has contributed to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Among his career accomplishments, Mr. Turner is especially proud of refurbishing a 1969 Chevrolet SS Camaro, which has earned multiple recognitions. The car was featured in All Chevy Performance magazine and received a Builder’s Choice Award from Detroit Speed in 2020. Mr. Turner would advise aspiring professionals in his industry to avoid controversy, be honest, and avoid micromanagement.
Mr. Turner became involved in his industry because of his father, who recently retired in 2021. His father was a trucking and logistics professional. When Mr. Turner turned 18, he started his own company and developed his operation from nothing. Throughout his years of operation, he has bought out multiple trucking companies, and in the coming years, he plans to expand his business in the South.
