Growing up, Mr. Morales was taught how to cook for his family by his mother. Exposed to the kitchen at an early age, he felt it was natural for him to pursue a career in the culinary field upon spearheading his professional career. Today, he flourishes as the general manager of La Bella Managua, which offers Nicaraguan cuisine in the city of Toronto. His responsibilities include customer service, catering requests and handling the operations of the business. In his present post, Mr. Morales is driven to share his childhood cuisine with the people of his city. Enjoying the social aspect of his career, he also is proud to learn and share knowledge with other chefs.
In recognition of his restaurant’s unique offerings, Mr. Morales was honored with the Urban Spoon Award. In addition, he was presented with the Talk of the Town Award. Mr. Morales attributes his success to being part of a small city, utilizing the food he grew up and having the ability to share it with the people of Toronto. For those looking to pursue a career in the field, Mr. Morales believes that one should always be honest with themselves and know exactly what it is they would like to work towards.
Prior to establishing his restaurant, Mr. Morales worked as a sous chef at Hot House Café from 1989 to 2003. At the start of his career, he excelled as a restaurant and sous chef in myriad establishments and is backed by an Associate’s degree. Mr. Morales’ philosophy on life is that anyone can achieve what they want in life as long as they focus and work diligently towards that goal. He also believes that everyone has a talent to develop in life that they can share with others. In the coming years, Mr. Morales intends to expand his restaurant business.
