Timothy M. Meinecke, Restaurateur at Café Piazza, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in restaurant management.

In 2017, Mr. Meinecke co-founded Café Piazza, a premier pizzeria and Italian restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri. He had brought in many years of experience in food production and presentation, beginning his career as a busser and line cook with Vito’s Pizza and Italian Ristorante in St. Louis from 2003 to 2007, to which he returned as an executive chef from 2013 to 2017; assistant kitchen manager with Smokin’ Chicks BBQ in Columbia from 2007 to 2008; line cook with  TGI Fridays in Columbia from 2008 to 2009; and kitchen manager with Sky Hi Grill in Columbia from 2010 to 2012. He co-owned Café 32 and Vinton arcade before opening Café Piazza.

After initially obtaining an associate’s degree from Moberly Area Community College in Missouri in 2009, Mr. Meinecke continued his education with a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 2012.

Mr. Meinecke attributes his success mainly to his drive and passion. Growing up in St. Louis and traveling all over town, he was able to see different neighborhoods and how they operate. Seeing the direction that St. Louis was headed, he believes he came in at the right time when he was in a good position to revitalize the city. Mr. Meinecke became involved in his profession because it has always been something that he wanted to do. He has always had an interest in good-tasting food since he started working as a busboy at age 13.

Mr. Meinecke considers his number one goal as a new father is to set up children with a better life. He also aspires to create more jobs for people who are willing to work, so that people can come together as one as a nation, rather than be divided. He feels that if his restaurant can grow their neighborhood, and get people to agree on things, it would definitely save lives.
