Mr. Marsh has found success since 2021 as the owner of Heritage Smokehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. As the owner of a barbecue restaurant, he garnered experience from 2009 to 2014 as the butcher and executive chef for Woodberry Kitchen. Mr. Marsh was also the head chef and butcher for Parts & Labor.
In preparation for his career as a restaurateur and chef, Mr. Marsh attended C. Milton Wright High School. After earning a diploma, he obtained an associate degree in culinary arts in 2007. Among his accomplishments, he has been featured multiple times in various publications including the Baltimore Sun, Baltimore Magazine and Baltimore Fishbowl.
For his professional excellence, Mr. Marsh received a Rising Star Award from the 2014 International Chefs’ Congress. He attributes his success to his work ethic, drive and passion for his craft and business. He started working in kitchens at the age of 15 and devoted himself to constant learning and self-improvement.
Mr. Marsh met his wife while working in kitchens together. Currently, she excels as the pastry chef at Heritage Smokehouse. In the coming years, he plans to continue growing the business into a thriving, profitable venture. To accomplish this goal, Mr. Marsh plans to expand the catering aspect of the business.
