Since 2022, she has also been appointed to the board for the California Society of Tax Consultants. Ms. Chou previously served as a tutor with the San Diego County School Systems between 2009 and 2016 and a senior linguist analyst with the U.S. Navy between 1999 and 2008.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Chou pursued an education at Excelsior University, from which she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts and sciences in 2000. She continued to refine her skills in her areas of expertise, subsequently earning her certifications as an acceptance agent by the Internal Revenue Service in 2014 and a language interpreter by the ELPT in 2018. In light of her stellar undertakings, she was presented with the Army Achievement Medal for Tax Preparation Service to Joint Command in Maryland from the Secretary of Army in 2006. She was likewise honored by Thumbtack as the Best in Tax Preparation and in Tutoring Service in 2015 and 2016. Looking toward the future, Ms. Chou hopes to expand her business to new locations and eventually establish an awareness center in San Diego that can help inform the Asian population about certain regional programs.
