With nearly 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Carr has excelled as the owner and president of Carrma | Creative Post Experts (also known as Carrma Post, Inc.) since 2019. An accomplished post-production producer, supervisor and editor, he has previously worked on advertising materials for such major contemporary film and television projects such as “Peacemaker,” “Cruella,” “Jurassic World: Dominion,” “Halloween Ends” and “Ted Lasso,” to name only a few. Prior to his present position, he was active as the co-owner, chief operating officer and senior editor for Red57 from 2012 to 2019, a trailer and tv spot editor for Toy Box Entertainment, Trailer Park and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2016, an editor for FOX Sports from 2008 to 2012, a television sitcom editor for Tyler Perry Studios from 2009 to 2011 and an online editor for Modern Videofilm from 2005 to 2007. Beyond his primary responsibilities in his field, Mr. Carr has served as a sizzle producer, editor and post-finishing services staff member for Project Possible with the Cerebral Palsy Foundation as well as with the OM Foundation since 2014.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Carr pursued an education at Full Sail University, where he was recognized as a salutorian and earned an Associate of Science in film and video production in 2004. As a testament to his stellar endeavors, he was presented with the TV60 “Reaper” Award from the Peachtree Village International Film Festival in 2010, honored for Best Music Video for “From the Second Chair,” and nominated for a Golden Trailer Award for Best Music in a Television Spot for “Cold Pursuit” in 2019, which he cites as one of the highlights of his career. Moreover, he was recruited as a member of the Television Academy and a judge for the Hollywood Professional Association’s HPA Awards since 2019. Attributing his success to being able to learn from his parents and his peers, all of which fostered his entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Carr hopes to develop Carrma into a fully self-sustainable, industry-leading post-production facility that will allow him to explore opportunities in content creation, documentary filmmaking, public speaking, and education in the coming years.
