G. Gerald Hart, Owner at Hart & Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in human resources.

With years of in-depth experience to his credit, Mr. Hart has excelled as the owner of Hart & Company since 1998. In this position, he is responsible for handling the daily operations of this comprehensive executive recruiting and consulting company, which helps in executive placement and business consulting for advertising agencies and corporate marketing firms within the marketing and communication industry. Interacting with esteemed clients such as Oldsmobile directly to ensure that their needs are completely satisfied, Mr. Hart is renowned among his peers for his integrity, professionalism and efficiency in fulfilling assignments.

Mr. Hart previously found success as the vice president and account director for Grey Advertising from 1997 to 1998, a senior account director for Foote Cone & Belding from 1990 to 1996, an account director for Tracy-Locke from 1988 to 1990, and both as an account director and the director of national field marketing with Ogilvy & Mather from 1985 to 1988. Prior to these appointments, he served as an account supervisor with D’Arcy//St. Louis and Benton & Bowles between 1980 and 1985, both an account executive and account supervisor for J. Walter Thompson between 1974 and 1980, an account executive with Yaffe Stone & August between 1972 and 1973, and a copywriter with Leo Burnett/Detroit between 1969 and 1971. His clients included the Detroit Oldsmobile Dealer Association, the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors, Taco Bell, Hyatt Hotels, McDonalds, International Dairy Queen, Hardee’s Food Systems, Mazda Motor of America, Michigan National Bank, and co-ops. Mr. Hart began his career as a sales promotions manager with Security Bank & Trust from 1966 to 1968 before working as an advertising manager for the National Bank of Detroit.

To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Hart pursued an education at Wayne State University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in business and marketing. Furthermore, he was greatly inspired by his mother, Marjorie, a single mom who instilled within him the discipline needed to distinguish between right and wrong. Mr. Hart was drawn to his current field after being laid off from an advertising agency, as his potential job opportunities would have required him to relocate; instead, he decided to bet on himself and establish his recruitment business. Notably, Mr. Hart is an accomplished magician, having been presented with a 25 Year Pin from the Society of American Magicians, been a longtime associate with the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and an affiliate of the esteemed Magic Castle in Los Angeles.

Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Hart was proud to find career opportunities for talented people within their respective areas of expertise. Moreover, he is grateful to dedicate his time to consulting with candidates regarding their resume as well as their LinkedIn profile. Additionally, he fondly recalls being a member of advertising teams that were recognized by being awarded a Clio for their Northland Ford Dealers campaign and with an Effie for their Hardee’s campaign. Looking toward the future, Mr. Hart hopes to continue recruiting new clients while further helping exceptional candidates connect with companies in need.
