With decades of experience in the engineering field, Dr. Scott has been thriving as the owner of WindsRest Enterprises since 2021. He was also a technical content writer for the International Academy of Automation Engineering from 2021 to 2022. Before taking on his current role, he worked with the Bonneville Power Administration, where he was the Transmission Project Management Office manager from 2010 to 2016 and manager of workplace services from 2009 to 2010. Previously, he was active as a senior asset manager with the General Services Administration from 2006 to 2009. Prior to these positions, Dr. Scott offered his service to the United States Navy as a captain of the Civil Engineer Corps from 1980 to 2006.
In order to support his professional endeavors, Dr. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and business administration from Northern Arizona University in 1981. He then received a Master of Science in civil engineering and management from the University of Washington in 1989. Once established in his career, he continued his higher education at Walden University, obtaining a Master of Philosophy in leadership and organizational change in 2019 and a Doctor of Philosophy in management, leadership, and organizational change in 2020. As a testament to his successful career, Dr. Scott was presented with an Exceptional Service Award and an Outstanding Leader Award from Bonneville Power Administration. As a testament to his exceptional service, he was celebrated with a Meritorious Service Medal, Legion of Merit, and recognition as the Engineer of the Year from the United States Navy.
Dr. Scott is most proud of his highly-satisfying work with the United States Navy, and he was thankful he received the opportunity to serve his country. While in the U.S. Navy, he gained a passion for helping others through projects on which he helped. With his affiliation to the U.S. Navy, he was recruited to the board of a mental health organization that delivered services to children and families. This desire to help others has followed him throughout his career. He currently helps with the Lions Club International, Family Solutions, Meals on Wheels, and Safe Homes for Seniors.
