A decorated veteran himself, Mr. Lister honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1997 to 2013 as an F/A-18 pilot, in addition to becoming an operations officer for Marine Aircraft Group 41 between 2009 and 2013. Furthermore, from 1992 to 2013, he worked with the United States Department of Defense. Mr. Lister ultimately achieved the rank of lieutenant colonel prior to retiring from his service and beginning his professional endeavors.
Mr. Lister is proud to provide his services as a practitioner of the law throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Adjacent to his duties as a practicing legal professional, he has also excelled as the chief pilot instructor at L3Harris Technologies since 2022. He originally joined the company as a lead instructor pilot in 2018, when the business operated as L3 Technologies; it was subsequently merged with the Harris Corporation in 2019. In his other former pursuits, Mr. Lister worked with Northop Grumman from 2016 to 2018 as an F-35 pilot.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Lister pursued a formal education. As a student of Texas A&M University, he originally earned a bachelor’s degree in parks, recreation and tourism sciences in 1992. Following his military service, he returned to his alma mater and achieved a Juris Doctor in negotiation and mediation from the university’s School of Law in 2016. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Lister is also counted as a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Rockwall County Bar Association and the American Pilots’ Association.
Alongside his primary professional duties, Mr. Lister has also remained active as a civic-minded citizen, regularly donating to the Court Appointed Special Advocates. Likewise, he is a staunch advocate for children. To commemorate his military achievements, he was honored with a Bronze Star Medal from the U.S. Marine Corps. Accounting for his successes, he is particularly proud of time as a fighter pilot, in addition to his experiences learning about new cultures and languages. While he is grateful for his many professional accomplishments, Mr. Lister is most notably proud of his children.
