Mr. Horwitz is an accomplished professional with more than 35 years of experience in his field. He has been the managing member of LFR Ohio Properties since 2012 and Foliage Properties since 2005. Alongside these roles, he has excelled with Knox Financial Services as the founder, principal, and commercial and residential mortgage broker since 1997.
Prior to his current positions, Mr. Horwitz was the president and chief executive officer of Acquisition Capital Group in 2011. He was a facilitator and consultant with the Dexter Research Institute in 2009 and a financial consultant with Smith Barney from 1994 to 1996. Mr. Horwitz began his career as the principal and manager of TAXCO from 1984 to 1989 and the vice president of marketing and customer service with the Hamilton Mortgage Company from 1992 to 1994.
Mr. Horwitz attributes his success to his consistency and detail-oriented nature. He is very thorough and precise when delegating tasks to subordinates and has a strong work ethic. Among his accomplishments, he considers understanding the real estate market to be his most notable achievement. In the coming years, Mr. Horwitz plans to develop sustainable fixed-income senior housing.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Horwitz earned an associate degree from Quinsigamond Community College in 1980. To keep abreast of developments in his field, he is a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Wapakoneta and Sidney, Ohio. He is a board member of the Riverside Arts Center and the Downtown Wapakoneta Partnership. In his spare time, he enjoys fly-fishing, wilderness camping and giving lectures on real estate.
