During this time, she has been additionally active as a member of the teaching faculty at Alverno College since 2022, a member of the Coalition of Global Advisors at LifeHikes since 2021, the director of DEI global programs with Broadridge in 2023 and a senior manager of diversity and inclusion with the Kohl’s Corporation from 2020 to 2023. She previously served as the managing director for Principal Financial from 2019 to 2020 as well as a consulting partner and principal with Pinpoint Solutions MKE from 2018 to 2023. Ms. Maldonado found further success in a number of positions with Northwestern Mutual between 2013 and 2018, including as a management consultant, a practice management consultant for the central region, a field office program manager, a people leader and a manager for life underwriting.
Prior to these roles, Ms. Maldonado worked as the chief operations executive for the MAM5ive Creative Group from 2009 to 2012, a consultant and event planner for the Hispanic Entrepreneurs of Wisconsin in 2011, and the director of patron experiences and special events for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra from 2011 to 2012. She was additionally recruited as an office manager for Intl Sports Management from 2006 to 2007, a sales coordinator for Time Warner Cable from 2007 to 2010, an event coordinator for Radio Milwaukee from 2008 to 2010, and a consultant for the Community Partners and Underwriting Partnership with Radio Milwaukee in 2010. To support her professional ambitions, she pursued an education at Alverno College, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree in business and management in 2009 and a Master of Business Administration in 2011. Ms. Maldonado began her career as a business sales and service specialist with SBC from 2003 to 2006 and an executive assistant with United Leasing Associates from 2005 to 2006.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Maldonado has accrued several accolades throughout her career. Recognized among Wisconsin’s Most Influential Latino Leaders by Madison365 in 2022, she was presented with the 40 Under 40 Award from the Milwaukee Business Journal in 2018, the Rising Star Alumni Award from Alverno College in 2022, the Foundation Scholarship from Tempo Milwaukee in 2022 and a Notable BIPOC Executives Award from BizTimes in 2023. Proud of establishing her own practice as a single mother departing from the corporate world, she attributes her success to her openness to opportunities, her humility, her support system, and her ability to rise to the experience while leaning into fear. In the coming years, Ms. Maldonado intends to continue to be a national speaker and write a book for women who are going through transformational spaces within their lives, teaching how they can come back and continue to choose themselves.
