Mr. White was introduced to the transportation field by his father during his formative years, and he set a goal to become a community-centered entrepreneur. He met this goal and has had much success in his career as owner of Legacy Contracting, LLC, for the last three decades. He previously served as the superintendent of a mining company before starting his business.
Attributing his success to integrity and a commitment to his employees, Mr. White has created a legacy. The most enjoyable part of his job is the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele and gain insight into their personal histories to provide the best customer service possible. He takes pride in working alongside his employees to ensure their safety and well-being, as he would never ask his workers to do something he would not do himself.
In addition to creating a legacy he can pass on to his son, Mr. White has also been celebrated as the Higher Education District Instructor of the Year in 2009. He participates as a member of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, Lions Club International, and the International Hunter Education Association. When he is not working, he dedicates his time and attention to being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and traveling.
In the coming years, Mr. White aims to retire and act as a consultant to other freight transportation businesses to help them build their brand and grow advertising revenue. His advice to new freight drivers is to remain inquisitive and find a mentor to determine the opportunities available in a chosen profession. His immediate goal is to continue building strong relationships with his children.
